lol at the this thread! especially Jimmys post. I had an auto and it suited me at the time. can't complain about that. Now I have a manwell and I fooking love it. gear changes are crisp and clean. engine braking makes a huge difference when approaching corners. The whole experience is just soooo much more sporty. Marcus, it sounds like something is wrong with yours. I don't think you would be complaining if you had my gearbox...

Thanks John, That is basically what I have been doing and it is working a treat. I have a consistent 13.5psi with only a little lag. :hyper: Is the setgain unit in psi? or a %???

I think Gain is used to control spiking and the Set gain is used to set the psi at which you want the boost controller to start. The way I understand it, Neither the duty cycle nor the gain will come into play until the boost pressure has reached the set gain. Is this right?

I am shortly going to be setting up my new Profec B Spec II. I am fairly sure I know what I am doing and I have got my head round it all from speaking to many people and following these instructions. Click for instructions However, I thought I would have a quick browse through the archives looking at what settings people have been using and I got some strange results! Why is the set gain so high? This is supposed to be the starting boost level?!? :confused: Any ideas?

Thanks for the offers guys but I already have one installed. I just have to swap over the control unit as the old one was causing overboosting issues...

How strange! I met Andy Isherwood a couple of weeks ago and he told me his was the same as mine. bit confused. :confused: either way, I tried to fit it one time and the tyre inflated off to one side. So I didn't feel safe putting it on.

Its a SWB special! :hyper: I only found this out the other day but the SWB get a space saver (like that above). Not entirely sure what it weighs but it was not that light!

Oil cooler does look a bit small but as you are not running any tubs and you have a big rad I think you should be OK.

Couldn't agree more. I had a tustle with a couple of ST Focuses and one RS Focus last year at Donington. I was quicker than them on the straights (running 7psi!) but they were awesome through the bends. Seriously good track car and with a few mods can be exceptional. If they weren't so ugly I'd be tempted to get one!
