The biggest problem is that it is an auto. a lot fewer people want one. I let my zed go for £4k a few weeks back. Could have probably got more if I had held out but who knows. Prices are going through the floor and the potential impending recession does not help!

In the zed I would normally have the dip beams on while cruising on the motorway. It helps draw everyones attention to the fact you are there and often helps avoid this situation in the first place. If that fails I am a big fan of undertaking. The important thing is to do it safely. Make sure that if they do start to move left you have somewhere to go (hard shoulder for example). Fvck all the idiots that sit in the outside lane. They should be herded together and shot!

thinking about it a bit more, it probably has air suspension. there is no way that is driveable as it is. you couldn't slide a piece of paper under those sideskirts!!!

Jaffa took me for a ride before they had even bedded in and they still had awesome stopping power. What Jaffa really wants to do (and hasn't had chance yet) is give them a good hiding on the track to see how they stand up to prolonged use. I'm sure he will feedback on here once he has had the chance...

If you have the setgain to high then it will boost right up to that level and then there could be a delay before the gain settings stop it spiking. try turning the setgain right down, might make a difference. then when you have the gain level right you can adjust the setgain back up again. HTH...

Yeah, that is all to do with the gain settings. you need to find the middle ground between spiking and surging (which is what you are experiencing now). Make sure you apply FULL throttle when doing test runs, and try and hold it right up to 7000rpm, if there is nothing in front of you! :D

stock wastegate actuators just need to be unplugged. on each side of the engine there is a black/grey plastic connection that you need to disconnect. Not sure if this would cause the high boosting issues though. Is it boosting at a consistent 18psi? or is it just spiking? as you may be able to control this by adjusting the gain level...

Believe me Mark, I really wanted to do that. I could have garaged the NA til I got back. I would have definitely gone for this if it hadn't sold this week. In fact I did try to call you on wednesday but you didn't answer and you have no voicemail! D'oh. But then I had doubts, like, would you really want to give me £3k after you saw the car, would I be happy with the NA, that sort of thing. Anyway, what is done is done. About the diving, you don't have to be qualified in anything. I happen to have a degree in Oceanography but that is by the by. I am not yet qualified as a PADI diver so I have to go a week early and take the basic course but that is no problem. If you are interested, the company I used was Global Vision International. easy to find on google. Also, they do all sorts of expeditions, all over the world. check it out... sorry, but good luck with the sale... It's Whale Shark season when I get there! Woo Hoooooooo... sounds good buddy. It sold because of the ebay add, although I didn't actually use ebay for the transaction. :cool: Pistonheads is about as much use as a hole in the head! there are soo many zeds on there and lots are cheaper than mine. I had the usual muppets offering me lexuses and ford cougars as a straight swap. :mac1: Anyway, the guy who bought it seems into his zeds. he used to have a 550bhp zed a few years back. I insisted he gets himself on here so we can all see what he plans to do to it.

I know it is hard to be pragmatic in these occasions, but sh1t happens. at least it will be sorted and its not written off. good luck getting it sorted...

Well, I had a few options but today it has all come together. I am going to spend 11 weeks in the seychelles diving on a research project. measuring coral reef, watching whale shark migration, counting turtles and helping them lay their eggs in a safe environment. if all goes well I could well stay for an additional 10 weeks! going to be a big change and I will miss the zed :cry:but I cannot wait!:cool:

Nice purchase, like duffman Ii have never been the biggest fan of the R33 but it looks lilke agood example. it has some good mods too, but I would be concerned about the "aftermarket" suspension as it looks a little high? Anyway, I am very jealous...
