Exactly! Why is it boosting to around 15psi when the Profec is off? What is wrong? :confused:

I have not changed the settings. Unless they reset themselves when the battery was out recently? I am getting these readings from the Profec. I think it was setup to cut the boost before it hit 19psi :headvswal :confused: me confused! :confused:

I understand the logic but it was boosting to 19psi in the afternoon and it was really quite warm. Also, I think that the boost controller used to cut the boost at a certain level and now it just keeps on increasing. Even when I turn the controller off completely it will boost to around 15psi, when it should basically be in safety boost with the controller off. I haven't managed to check the hoses yet but could this be a wastegate issue? Thanks...

I noticed that my Zed was overboosting on the way up to the Pod yesterday. In 5th gear I was getting max boost readings of 19psi!!! I have a greddy profec b spec 2 and until yesterday this would not boost over about 17psi. I have not changed these settings since it was installed. I am going to check for any loose tubing as I know this could cause it. Is it possible that my wastegate is stuck in a shut position? What else could cause this? Thanks, Mike... P.S. I think this is why I got some quite impressive 1/4 mile times! LOL

Well I turned up to the warm up meet of the Zclub drag challenge yesterday. It was my first time up at the Pod but I think I did OK. My best time was 13.68 seconds and my best reaction time was 0.4 seconds. Think you can beat these times? Well get yourself up the Pod for the 1st qualifying event on the 1st April...

I would say, hold on to it for a bit. So the turbos are smoking, so what? I have seen a lot of Zeds with smoking tubs. people seem to be able to drive them like this for a while. Keep it for a bit and see how you feel. You may find your situation changes and that you can afford to put new, bigger tubs in...

The bottom two are the best but I am not overly excited with any of them. Perhaps if you could get that model to drape herself over them then I might be persuaded! It worked with the trafficstars...

Generally speaking you shouldn't feel much difference just by changing the chip. but the new mapping will allow you to get more out of the car when you install an EBC or go for other mods...
