All I know about the filters are that they are imprinted with K&N on the top... *scurries off to find a couple of replacements*

From what I can gather from the above they were standard from the factory?

I'm going to Donnington in July and I will be removing the headlight panel to get more air to the filters and to flow through the rads. But I also want to know, is it worth insuring for the track day?

Mine is a 1992 and only the up part still lights up. I presume that both up and down worked originally?

I'm confident you could run 16/17psi all day long with that setup, especially seeing as you are running rich there should be no problems with detonation...

I visited this garage on Saturday and I have to say, they have a fantastic setup at this place. I'm sure the end result is going to be just great. Anyway, now I am thinking hard about a respray too!

That's probably not a bad guess. The rad in their is an ARC unit. And you are correct, they are K&N filters. And yes I will get some new clean ones ASAP. Thanks to all of you for the abuse. LOL.
