Ok, assuming I keep the new wheels and refurb the old ones. How much do you think someone would pay for them with black centres and good rubber?

The thing I like the most is how much quicker it is than any new car, except when you start looking at supercars...

So that is 3 for the old ones, 2 for the new ones 1 undecided LOL - sounds like I need a poll! The new ones are actually 17" but they still fill the arches enough. they aren't that bad! :slap:

I have the option of getting my old rims refurbed. I don't think it's going to be that costly but I am unsure as to whether I should do it or not. I have a number of questions/dilemas. 1. Do I prefer my new rims? I know, it's a stupid question! 2. Would I prefer my old wheels if they have a black centre? 3. Would I be able to sell either of these sets of rims? Bear in mind that the ultimate dream is to respray the Zed to stock black, so the balck rims would look sweet.

When I spun mine like that I organised for a specialist zed mechanic to sort mine out. I paid less than £700 and didn't need to worry about it. Drop me a PM if you like and I'll give you the name and number of the mechanic...

Me too but this is nowhere near as bad as some of the little niggles. I hate the way the dash has peeled up. I hate myself for not being bothered to fix it. And like Dave said, the constant paranoia that something else is about to break! :slap:

If it comes down to it I'll send you £10. Just don't break it...

I think they are Konigs. There was a guy selling a black car with very similar wheels on it. I can't find any better pictures but her you go ebay zed

The saga continues... Last night I needed to go and see some clients, I went to get in the Zed and the battery is dead! completely! I ended up borrowing a mate's car so my work didn't suffer but the whole thing is winding me up at the moment. Anyway, long story short, I have checked the alternator and that is working fine so I have gone and bought myself a new battery (£70!). I just hope that my Zed behaves itself for a while because I am now feeling very skint!

I'm not sure if it has been said already because I can't be arsed to read above! But if it was me I would spend a bit less on an import and pay a little more for insurance. Most of the UK Zeds are falling apart from rust. Maybe get one imported yourself or get one that has only been in the country for a short time. You will be much happier in the long run...

Got the Zed back last night. :smw: I am so relieved that they don't seem to have completely fvcked it up! I don't mind paying a slightly higher price because I broke down and didn't have any other option. but that does not excuse charging nearly £90 per hour for labour! :eek: :eek:

Yep, my boss has an RS6 estate and we have had a few little races. His is definitely quicker but doesn't leave me standing. It is nice to have over 870bhp outside the front of the office!

Yeah I know, it's ridiculous. Thanks for the tip, I'll try speaking to the management and find out why it is so expensive...

Your local Zed specialist should be able to help you out if you ask them nicely...
