  3. fuel filter [plus injector clean] thats where i'd start
  4. you don't lose grunt or anything like that mate. all you lose is that sunday driver feeling once u start with the performance mods.ie flywheel, pulleys clutch.
  5. imo decat won't...doesn't cause turbo failure. if anything the freeflow gain from decat gives them a better chance at longevity.
  6. your cats will be well goosed if original anyway. imo only decat if your car is j reg or earlier as you can get in botha with vosa if not. decat i say!
  7. i've just done mine dave. no pics but i'm coming down tomorrow aft any way.the main thick pipe from base of pot is connected to top front of pump yes?
  8. i reckon it may have just been habit. the standard prop is same design as one that's used for ancient axles like on vans, american cars and old all kinds of motors. the single piece prop is fine cos the diff stays in same place unlike traditional/old vehicles. old and crap motors use a much simpler set up on the rear axle .it has a basic diff thats part of rear axle and it all moves up and down .therfor needing the joint. but the z has a fixed diff with independant suspension . tried my best to keep it simple but found myself writng a book. !!! hope it helps. and this is only my opinion!
  9. i know ,i know..... cheers jeff. when you gettin yours alex? could do with havin it delivered to your house .if that ok pal
  10. how much are the one piece props. not interested in the carbon ones. steel will do thanks
  11. each time i see the air ambulance pot i stick 2quid in. get a free pen...and rest assured that if my z bites me one day then these boys/girls are at the end of the phone. hope he's allright.
  12. i best check her tomorrow then bud.
  13. cheers for the input guys. if the pump is goosed then surely you'd tell that the lump would be running dry?
  14. cool . reassuring words i like. nice one Alex,Rose.
  15. should just be down to the crappy oem guage then .cheers mate
  16. just realised cos had other stuff on.my stock oil pressure guage shows central readings on cold start up then drops as oil warms up. which is pretty normal. but once warmed up the guage seems to go to sleep . should i be worried or have i a problem elsewhere?
  17. no offence mate but its an expense that only offers a visual change. for the same money you could get some nice lookin single back boxes that are ment for the job of lookin, soundin and working well. yes they'd be second hand but far better than powerflows and what exhaust shops offer. my car had powerflows on by previous owner. they were all round crap in everyway. poor materials ,performance and sound in my opinion.
