I got a cobra alarm too. I know out of the RX and TX outputs only one of them is used. Am I right in thinking I could tap the other into the interior light to make the magic happen?

You got it Car.Mad. I live in the country side. No street lights, no neighbours lights and I can't park it close enough for my house lights to show me where I'm walking at night. I'm currently locking and unlocking it about 4 times to find my way in the dark.

Bought some Volk Racing wheels in desperate need of a refurb. That's being done but in the meantime I am after some new centre caps for them as the ones that came with them have also seen better days, but I can't seem to find any anywhere! They have a 75mm diameter and are just basic flat plastic ones. Anyone got any idea where I can find some? Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I want my interior light to come on when I unlock it so I can find it in the dark. It seems it's a novelty that's taken for granted by most people with modern cars. I wanna bring my Zed up to date with a few little trick bits like that. Does anyone know of some kind of aftermarket kit that will do that? Or maybe even one to bring the sidelights on...

Note to self: Don't buy cheap magnetic tax disc holders if your roof comes off.

Last time I lost the roof I also lost my tax disc! :\

From what I'm guessing, the later models have the 7 pin plugs on them and have defogger glass. either way, I'm after a 7 pin one.

Scuttle trim I got sorted with some other paint and that's going well. It's just the metal trim I need sorted now.

Typically on most cars they speed up when you got a lamp out. Put your hazards on and walk round the car.

As you'd expect, the windscreen trims etc on my zed are all showing their age and damn new ones are expensive! I'm sure someone would have refurbed theirs before. What paint so I use? Currently doing the scuttle trim but I wanna do all the window/roof trims and the wiper arms.

When I bought my Zed I realised the driver side mirror didn't work at all. I added it to my list of things that need sorting. I've now got to it on the list and found it wasn't plugged in. But alas, it won't plug in! It's clearly not the orginal mirror as the wiring loom from the car has a 7 pin plug and the mirror only has a 5 pin lug. It's a 1993 JDM Zed. Who knows what model Zed I need the mirror from as I have already bought a JDM mirror only to find out it's also only got a 5 pin plug on it.
