  1. Near front bumper could be a pipe has popped off the o/s intercooler or one of the connecting pipes. Worth a look, but front bumper will need to come off if that's where the leak is :( Steve :)
  2. Yes fella - brand new and boxed. All assembled correctly using spring compressors. Springs were seated properly. TBH I think that the clearance problem was evident before I changed the shocks, but was not so much of an issue as the car wasn't lowered. Old shocks were shagged BTW ;) Steve :)
  3. I replaced my standard shocks with KYB AGX items a while ago. After fitting I noticed that the wheel arch clearance on the rear driver's side was much less than the passenger side (2 fingers vs 4 fingers). If I'm travelling at speed on the motorway and hit a "rolling bump" in the road that causes the car to dip, the rear tyre can actually come into contact (briefly) with the arch - not good :( All my suspension parts are stock apart from the KYBs (athough I was considering upgrading the other components at some point). Does my problem sound like worn or badly adjusted parts or could it be something more serious? Any recommendations or suggestions appreciated as always! CheerZ Steve :)
  4. LOL - you got there before me :D Steve :)
  5. I've run my own IT company for the last 20 years. No staff to worry about anymore, just me. I've been contracting for the past 2 years including work on the Olympic builds - feel very lucky compared with some people I know out there... CheerZ Steve :)
  6. Welcome aboard bud :D Steve :)
  7. Sorry bud - I will have to check for you tomorrow. It's been a long day! ;) Steve :)
  8. Thanks fellas! Nice to be a regular visitor again after my time away. It's good to be back in the Zed :D
  9. Happy birthday bud! We could be twins (except we were born a "few" years apart :D ) Steve :duffer:
  10. CheerZ guys (and thanks for the reminder Dave :D ) Having a good day - just got home from work and Sarah has got me 2 Platinum tickets to Top Gear Live at Earls Court on 8 November  Well chuffed! Steve :)
  11. LOL - it's the same car Chris - that was back in 2003 ;) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=23271 Steve :)
  12. PS. Rear speaker covers just clip on/off (on LWB) so no need to pull the boot apart ;)
  13. I've got a set of good quality, brand new, boxed rears which I purchased for my project car and never fitted. I'll confirm details when I get home if you're interested. Will be going cheap ;) CheerZ Steve :)
  14. Here you go... Steve :)
  15. James300 had some good work done on his Zed. Try a search (I would but I'm on the bus!) Steve :)
  16. The problem is that hot air rises :( Best option has to be bonnet vents IMO Steve :)
  17. Yes, as Mike said I got these from GTR owners club - had been looking for ages, it's a real case of right place, right time.. I was lucky that the seller was local to me and was willing to negotiate on the price ;) Steve :)
  18. Glad to hear that you're on top of this Chris - good luck and keep us posted! Steve :)
  19. Thanks Mike - I'll give it a go this weekend :D
  20. Right, I've picked up a good set of R33 Calipers, Ferrodo pads, almost new disks and mounting bolts. I've got braided lines already on the car to the stock calipers. Should the new calipers be "plug and play" to the existing lines? Sorry to sound like a noob - I've removed the calipers and disks before but never had to unplug 'em ;) CheerZ Steve :)
  21. Blimey Jeff - that's spookily close to my Zed's details and ownership history (I'm just missing the wide body). Sounds like a great motor :D Steve :)
  22. Nice one bud - I'm sure you'll be very pleased with your purchase  CheerZ Steve :)
  23. One more question - do I need to ensure that I get hold of the mounting bolts? Are they easy to source separately otherwise? CheerZ Steve :)
  24. and I know you swear by 'em :D
  25. Cool - thanks Mike. So I guess the main argument for R34s is that they should be newer and therefore in better condition (plus the colour) Steve :)
