  1. Easiest way is to identify the switched live with a multimeter then use a Scotch Lock connector to tap into this wire and connect your new gadget.. Steve :)
  2. Probably would wire to a switched live rather than a permanent live. May want to stick an inline fuse on the feed as well.. HTH Steve :)
  3. 12th or 19th are both good for me Paul! Steve :)
  4. My thoughts are with you too Dave Steve
  5. lol - so I heard
  6. I'm deffo up for something Paul - any ideas? Steve :)
  7. D'oh - I've been rumbled by one of my loyal customers! :( Steve :)
  8. Cybernet 'cos the first company I started (back in the 80s) was Cybernet Database Systems Limited.. Steve :)
  9. Is this just me? Try to go into PMs and get this.. There seems to have been a slight problem with the 300zx.co.uk Club Bulletin Board database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser. An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists. We apologise for any inconvenience. Anyone else? Steve :)
  10. Don't worry - a slight burning smell is quite normal... ;) Steve :)
  11. Any more info Mark (duration, start time, helmet required etc..)? Many thanks Steve :)
  12. Lookin' good Rich :) Love the colour too... ;) Steve
  13. Just started a poll about this fellas here - may be interesting.. Steve :)
  14. Having recently had my 99 Spec front fitted and a new front no plate from http://www.fancyplates.com I was wondering who's done this and had hassle from plod? Be interesting to see if certain regional forces are more tolerant than others... Me, based in Croydon, travel all around the South East (Kent, Sussex, Surrey) and not had a pull yet. Vote away.. Steve :)
  15. LOL - Attained the rank of "Gran Turismorator". Better than "ricer" I guess  Steve :)
  16. Link no workee  Steve :)
  17. Very little difference TBH. The 300ZX is red instead of white and the reverse lights have chrome surrounds which match the 99 Spec rears HTH Steve :)
  18. Will do - many thanks! Steve :)
  19. Filter seems tight and no drips are coming from it. Not sure about the turbo oil hoses  I'll try and work out where these are - lol Steve :)
  20. Not really had any clutch problems, although I did have to top up the fluid last weekend (fluid very low and pedal very floppy). I think that Jock mentioned it sounded like the rear seal a while ago, although this was based on my limited discription of the problem.. Is it a big/difficult job to repair this Andy and would there be a replacement seal kit available? CheerZ Steve :)
  21. Andy, I tightened the lower rad clip yesterday but the drip seemed to be coming from somewhere above that.. Saying that, still no drips today so maybe that was it after all? Aircon seems to be working fine as well :) I've just posted up about my oil leak as well :smw: Many thanks for the feedback on this one guys  CheerZ Steve :)
  22. As mentioned in my earlier "mystery leak" thread, I also have an oil leak somewhere.. Got under the car this morning and it seems to be getting worse :( If the car is standing (not running) I probably get about 4 drips per night on the garage floor, but when running (under pressure) it seems to be much more serious (see pics). When standing, the drips are coming off the sump, but I think that this is just because it's the lowest point.. Been checking the oil regularly and topping up as required. Would be good to get this sorted though! As before, many thanks for any tips.. Steve :)
  23. More info here Steve :)
  24. Coolant was pink with added water wetter (red).. No liquid on the floor this morning.. Have just jacked the car up and run for 10 mins and guess what - no sign of leak  Ok there's an oil leak further back, but that's another story.. Steve :)
  25. It looked clear with a slight pink tinge. That's why I assumed it was coolant  Was deffo coming from this pipe with engine off and no fan running to blur the issue.. Any idea bud? Steve :)
