  1. I remember years ago I had a Yamaha RZV500 (jap import RD500YPVS) that had a v-4 two stroke engine and had a drag race across a big carpark against a nitro rc car.......and the bloody car won!, despite the Yam having a top whack of approx 150mph it couldnt match the tiddly little nitro on acceleration. I had a Tamiya 1/10th Calibra DTM with 4 wheel drive (electric,TA-02 chassis) and was nowhere near as quick as nitro,i think a dog would easily catch it and rip the body to bits! :)
  2. Couldnt geg mine to work so I ripped it out and had the hole flushed! :)
  3. whos first for a zedjazzle!!!, LOL :) My mrs is from Essex and we went to Southend for the weekend last August bank Holiday and had only been in the b&b 10mins before someone said " what part of Wales you from"!!!...erm..im not Welsh!.
  4. thats how mines done too :) got that many auxillary wires going to and from my ecu i cant rember which ones which now though!
  5. :laugh::laugh::laugh:.......well jell !!!,LOL.
  6. my understanding was that the timing is approx 25 degrees when engine is cold and adjusts to 15 degrees as the engine warms up to normal operating temperature.If you put a timing light on a cold engine you can watch the timing mark creep up to 15 degrees as the engine temp increases.
  7. the neutral switch was done on my manual conversion iirc and it idles perfectly
  8. a lot of the guys on driftworks forum use solid aluminium rear subframe bushes, but would say that solid mounts would be too harsh on a road car.i would say that a certain amount of flex in the bushes/mounts is required especially on a 20-odd year old chassis that might not like being locked solid.
  9. Hello and welcome to the club, we need more pics though! :) Vodkashots.....if you hadn't posted to link about the £2 zed i would never have believed it!......did the buyer restore it?

  17. Depends how good you are with the old spanners and whether water bypass/egr delete has already been done.havent done mine yet (next week all being well), but would have thought 2 to 3hrs.......sure someone will correct me if im a mile out.
  18. I think you can if you get medieval with a dremel so you can get on the screw heads, otherwise its plenum off I believe.personally I wouldnt fancy the idea of getting loads of fine aluminium dust all over my engine so would pull the plenum and do water pipe bypass at the same time :)
  19. If it isnt spark related it points to fuel, either dodgy injector or could be dirty/corroded connector.
  20. Looks tidy bud :)........you need to adjust your handbrake though!.

  24. I had this on mine and it was due to p@ss thin oil getting into the pcv's.Had castrol edge in it thay had broke down after approx 1200 miles and had lost its viscousity.Refilled it with 10/40 semi and it stopped it.After changing the pcv valves it can take awhile to burn off residual oil.did you change the 5 pcv hoses as well?.
