  1. To be honest when I did mine they when back together with the original sealant once it was heated and tacky, set solid once it cooled (which it does quite quickly). :)
  2. I have heard that nismo pivot balls are prone the shearing, not sure how much stronger they are compared to a standard nissan one if they are at all :)

  4. +1 , an omega is the perfect mile muncher and cheap as chips :) If you need bigger how about an omega limousine?, funeral directors sell them cheap an a they aint been thrashed ;)
  5. Not sure on the procedure for checking the fpr on a zed, some cars have a schrader valve on the injector rail you can connect a pressure gauge to (most vauxhalls have) to measure the fuel pressure.
  6. Sounds bloody awesome! :)

  8. Whats your fuel pressure like.......i had a duff fpr on a v6 calibra once and you had to turn it over quite a bit to get pressure up, changed the fpr and it would fire first flick after that.

  12. Daftest thing ive done this week is being up to my chest in a canal doing up scaffolding fittings when the temp was only 1.5 degrees.........and as for the water.....i dont know how water can be soooo cold with no ice on it!.i did have chest waders on but at one point the water went over the top of them.the water was only about 18 inches deep......the rest was mud! :(

  14. got to admit i do make a good brew dont i ??? Have to admit it was Lee that cleaned it  anyway.....i thought you was subbing again!
  15. Have had a couple of niggles with the old girl, so on jeffs advice I checked the connection on the coolant temp sensor (one for the ecu) and it was absolutely minging!, so cleaned the pins in the sensor back to clean metal and did the same on the connector itself and the difference is unreal!.The car is so much smoother and more responsive and running so much better :)
  16. might be a daft suggestion, but are you using a good quality 6 point socket or a 12 point socket?, as 6 point ones are a lot less prone to slipping.
  17. I bought a repair panel for the area around a Capri front suspension top and it was called an inner wing repair panel, after an mot inspector failed it on a corroded inner wing.the inner wing isnt under the wheel arch, thats just a wheel arch.just about every site and forum ive looked at calls the area in question the inner wing :). Perhaps a mechanic can tell us.
  18. So whats it called then???, ive always called it the inner wing.
  19. Undet the bonnet, In the engine bay, on top of the drivers side inner wing about 8cm to the left of the hicas pump and approx 20 cm back from the headlight, 3 block connectors with a loom clipped the the rear of the power steering pot, that is then clipped to the plenum. Cant get more precise without a photo!, lol ;)
  20. Always tickles me when the small print says you arent cover against nuclear explosions............like you'd be around to worry if a 40 megaton nuke detonated on your bonnet! :)
  21. On the drivers side inner wing,in the engine bay, to the left of the hicas pump there are three connectors for the box.
  22. I would say check your transmission fluid level and do a diagnostics check on the box.is your power light flashing?, if it flashes 16 times there is a fault code logged.
  23. Thems the fellas :), next to the Hicas gubbins.
