  1. Cheers Si, :thumbup1: Appreciated.
  2. Well, as some may know, it has not been a great year for me health wise, and if I was honest, it was touch and go as to whether or not I attended. So, with that in mind, I would like to say a special thankyou to members such as AndrewG and FunkiSi for making my attendance such a pleasureable one. Thanks for looking after me. Also, big thanks to Bird, (hopefully I got that right) for dropping off a recent purchase from Mondo. Thanks mate. I wish I had managed to meet up with more of the club members, but added thanks to folk such as Gary, Craig, Richard, Slick Pete, Lee, Ash and many more. (sorry if I missed anyone out) for making the AGM such a great event. Not sure as to when I will be attending my next meet, but looking forward to catching up with everyone soon. What a great day.. :thumbup1:
  3. I rest my case, thanks Jeff.:thumbup1:
  4. Just a thought Joel, but if they were to both point outwards, they would not distract the eye away from the throttle linkage. With the greatest of respect you understand mate.
  5. Not before time either..
  6. Damn, wish I could've made it!
  7. Not saying this is gospel, but as I understand things with regards to having catalytic converters fitted, the following was applied during my recent MOT test. As my Zed was registered between 91 and 95 and the VIN number could not be found on the database at time of testing, the tester proceeded to go through the BET test and then on to a lesser emissions test, ie 3.5% CO, which of course it passed with ease. Also, although my car was originally fitted with cats at time of registration, due to the above information, it could be tested with or without. Again, I'm not saying that this is 100% factual, it is just based on my recent test.
  8. I just refer to mine as, " The Nissan"
  9. Now you are just showing off! Very nice.
  10. Not me mate, I would work with you anytime. Top job!
  11. A very humble, yet extremely talented looking gentleman. Must have been a very special moment Si, very envious.
  12. http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/?Click=2 https://www.spaldingfasteners.co.uk/search.php?search_query=plastic+nuts I've found these links useful.
  13. I used a combination of high tensile studding along with spacers and sockets etc' with great success. I also used a gear puller with equal results. One thing I did find, was no way would the little blighters budge without a degree of heat though. (the Aluminium expands just enough to reduce the press fit)
  14. Nice one Jeff, could so easily of been overlooked.
  15. Looks like you have had a very productive day Alic. :sweatdrop::thumbup1:
  16. Agreed! That is one impressive engine bay sir. :thumbup1:
  17. You say it ran okay for a while? Have you done anything that may have disturbed something recently?
  18. Nice one Si', always a satisfying moment when you find, and then go on to fix a tricky problem. :thumbup1:
  19. I find that soaking such things over night with Plus Gas works really well.
  20. Love the look of the mechanism personally, especially when they are in such a clean condition as yours. A bit like seeing the workings of an expensive clock for example.
  21. Passed with flying colours... :cool3::biggrin:
  22. Must be April the first.:lol:
