  1. You guys are pretty slick at taking engines out I gotta say  I have a TT manual and remove the gearbox every time I remove the engine, but are you guys removing the gearbox? Can the engine be removed with manual gearbox still in place? :duffer:
  2. Pressure sender block I mean... You'll see when you remove the metal oil pipes from it.
  3. Oh another thing. On the left turbo is the oil pressure sender. Engine oil is fed to the pressure sender then on to the turbo. MAKE SURE THE 1.2mm HOLE IN THE PRESSURE SENDER IS CLEAR OF DEBRIS! I learned this the hard way :( HTH
  4. I can say they ARE very stifly sprung :( I got a bad back now to prove it. Good link Darrel! They are very similair to those. Maybe that is a generic picture they put up. As for spring rates, Not sure what stock is but i reckon 20% maximum increase would be ok on the roads. 12kg/8kg Springs are oesteopath material :p
  5. Yep goosed! But you can do that turbo with the engine in the car quite easily. Not sure it's entirely sensible to repair just the one turbo though......
  6.   :duffer:
  7. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=100752 I'm now going to put my coilovers back on until i get some plates. When it rains it fu*king pours.
  8. I think one guy got a new nissan engine replaced under insurance because he drove through a flood... Cost was £8500 iirc Total cost for the job was £10k HTH Rob.
  9. Anyone ever heard of these before??
  10. Has the money landed yet lol? I need to start PMing :p
  11. :D Happy Birthday for the other day btw.... :duffer: (I missed your B.Day thread sorry)
  12. Just got this by e-mail and made me laugh. Enjoy. After having their 11th child, a Liverpool couple decided that was enough, as the social wouldn't buy them a bigger bed and they weren't strong enough to nick one. The husband went to his doctor and told him that he and his wife didn't want to have any more children. The doctor told him there was a procedure called a vasectomy that would fix the problem but it was expensive. A less costly alternative was to go home, get a firework, light it, put it in a beer can, then hold the can up to his ear and count to 10 The Scouser said to the doctor, "I may not be the smartest guy in the world, but I don't see how putting a firework in a beer can next to my ear is going to help me." "Trust me, it will do the job", said the doctor. So the man went home, lit a banger and put it in a beer can. He held the can up to his ear and began to count: "1, 2, 3, 4, 5," at which point he paused, placed the beer can between his legs so he could continue counting on his other hand. > > > >> This procedure also works in Middlesborough, parts of Bradford and anywhere in Wales.
  13. My thoughts exactly after recent events.
  14. The driver has been traced and arrested but the mofo has stashed the car away somewhere. http://www.shropshirestar.com/2007/09/arrest-over-hit-and-run-death/ He ought to be thrown to the lions in my opinion.

For a bloke his age he was full of beans and enjoyed life a lot. http://www.shropshirestar.com/2007/09/hunt-on-for-bmw-crash-driver/ Latest news is I think the cnut BMW driver has now been caught (been on the fone to his company today). the guy ought to be lynched  boils my blood this does, hit & run  RIP Tony. :( You won't be forgotten...... Rob.
