Jimmy, Do what I did and get a spare front hub. Obtain the discs of your choice and then give the hub, a disc and a caliper to a local engineering shop and tell them to make it all work :D HTH Rob.

You could do a plenumm water bypass while you're there. It will make putting the plenum back much easier :D

I use a 1/2" knuckle bar about 18" long I think? It's a taper thread so it needs a big heave-ho to crack it off initially, then it comes out very easy.

If there's a 'zizzing' sound then that's when the compressor wheel is touching the casing. I also had one making a 'CHA CHA CHA' type noise.... This was when the turbo shaft had snapped in two :D :D Pull the exhaust downpipes off and you will see the exhaust turbine. See how much play there is in the shaft (should be almost zero for a new turbo) and see how free it runs too.

That will be the layshaft bearings then. Thicker oil will help things a lot. To change bearings it's a gearbox out job and total stripdown. IMO it's harder to strip a Z gearbox than a Z engine (I've done both in the past). HTH Rob.
