  1. Well you have to be very carefull how you do it. The bolts are made from INCONEL, a material able to withstand high temperatures and keep it's strength. Unfortunately it is toughed than the cast turbo housing so the drill tends to wander off when drilling out (when drilling by hand). You really need to take it to an engineering shop who can holt it rigid in a miller to drill it out. @ Dave_Zed, you REALLY need to get step gap piston seals, you can then wind up the boost and forget about rear seal faliure. If I had stock rear piston seals I would forever worry about running 12+psi wondering when they would go. For £25 it's peace of mind.............

  3. Hi Dave, I get the impression they do not like dealing with the general public too but just tell them you will get them balanced afterwards. The part numbers should be on this site somewhere... Sorry for late reply :)
  4. Oh, and if you have not already bought the kits, buy them from Mellett (do a search on here for contact/part numbers) as they are cheaper.
  5. Yes lol, only rebuilt about 5-6 turbos now........... :D Make sure you check the oil supply to them before firing up the engine (crank it over with fuel pump fuse out and see how much oil flows through). :)
  6. Not quite true. You need to order a Stagger gap rear piston seal to prevent further smoking. The standard type seal has just a plain end and is not as resillient to wear. HTH :D
  7. Hilarious! :D Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse at their best
  8. Found this TV news report.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gduKD0rG4Ng
  9. It'll be on redtube quick enough I reckon :D
  10. Happy Birthday Athene! LMAO @ Gumballs post!! :D
  11. Well if your gauge moves above zero on full throttle it seems like your turbos are working as they should. Look for boost leaks, make yourself a boost leack detector (do a search) as it will make things a lot easier.
  12. So you're saying your boost gauge does not go above zero on full throttle?
  13. Hi Andy :) No, not many left now.......... I've added you to MSN if you want a chat :D Rob.
  14. Does your boost gauge go above 0 on full throttle? If it does not then one of your turbos has seized. It is possible for them to seize and not smoke. Oh, and both turbos spool up at the same RPM, they are parallel operation not the sequential type like in the toyota supra MK4 (or mazda RX7)...
  15. ;) Back in 1993 Williams Renault developed one for it's F1 car. In pre season testing it lapped the Interlagos circuit in Brazil 4 seconds faster than the conventional 6 speed semi-automatic gearboxes of the day!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say it was banned even before the first race :( :nono: :headvswal :smash:
  16. +1 ;) This is the perfect way to do it. It does not damage the crank or the soft bushing either. It will be totally reusable if you follow this method. :duffer:
  17. Happy Birthday Si!! :D
  18. You would get the same quality tyre from felling a 150 year old Oak tree and whittling some tyres from that :D Steer clear ;) and get some top brand names EVEN IF you have to go get pairs of part worns of Bridgestone, Michelin, Goodyear etc etc!!!!
  19. Yep! Good news for those soldiers! If they fight alongside us they should be treated as a briton. End of story. :D
  20. I can't believe you guys banned bigrod! He's top entertainment LOL Bring him back :D
  21. Take an accurate measure of the centre bore. Take an accurate measure of the PCD. Take an accurate measure of the overall height. Post it here or do a google search and try to match it up.
  22. I got my brackets chrome plated to prevent rust :D But only my mechanic can see them LMAO
