Cos Essex may have quite a quite few doing the school runs etc but such a thing has never been seen in Stoke before because we are all poor northerners and anyone who comes into any money swiftly moves to anywhere else that it does not rain most of the time (that includes most other places) lol But today we only got a few mins of rain - rest was great weather for a car show:wink: I'm sure there are plenty more great pics from today if anyone else would like to oblige Cheers Rich

As in previous years we will be meeting at The Weathervane http://www.hungryhorse.co.uk/pubs/weathervane-stoke-trent This is about 5 miles from the show. I choose this location because it is just off the main A50 trunck road, it has a large carpark, there is a Tesco petrol station 100 meters away and there is a McDonalds directly opposite. Also the Weathervane does a range of great value breakfasts from 8am plus it is attached to a hotel should anyone be making a weekend of this We need to leave the Weather vane at 9:15am to drive to the show, the drive is via the A50-A500-A34 trunck roads which are all dual carraigeway which makes it easy to stay in convoy, plus we get the opportunity to make a lot of noise as we drive through the tunnel at Meir :) There is always a lengthy queue of exhibitors to this show, and plenty of folks generally come down to line the pavement for the last couple hundred meters so even the queue is fun and from previous years this will see us arrive on our stand at around 10am Looking forward to seeing you all there - let's have a good one :) Rich

Hi Guys Well I'm back so it's time to get this one organised We've had a good turnout for this great show the last couple of years so I thought why not do it again http://www.transtar-promotions.co.uk/home/trentham-gardens/ I already have the booking forms here for the club stand We really need around 10 cars or more to make a good display in the space we have available The cost of exhibiting your car remains unchanged at £3.50 and this includes admission two adults plus two minors as long as they travel in the car This is always a very popular show so we need to make payment by the later part of April at the latest to ensure we are allocated a club stand I will as always organise the booking of the stand If you would like to attend please put your name on the list which I will start below. Had a chat with Lee Dent this morning, he has my original engine on the stand ready to remove the head and take a look That one never smoked in the couple of years I ran it, however it had a rattle on the bottom end on overrun. I've been instructed to get a complete head gasket set and the car is being collected next week Things are moving a bit at last. Rich
