  4. all tt had 6 speed box uk or jap but uk ones had diff cooler 550cc injectors steel turbos slightly bigger but also ran a maf as apposed to a map sensor
  5. and you wont get as much power out the stock supra turbos that you will from the z stock turbos either as there ceramic again unless you find a uk car that has original steels
  6. there not that easy to tune as you cant remap them and if im honest they are no easier to work on and have same issues appearing as 300zx broken wiring connectors and so on plus theres no where near the the amount of performance upgrade parts avaliable for suspension etc and ive had them a long time myself and they dont handle like a z if im honest
  7. i prefer the vg to the rb and 2jz and work on loads of all of them vg is a pain to work on in some aspects but have you tried taking a stock inlet manifold of an rb25 det id rather do a vg30 one :)
  8. as its an import there is no uk legislation to confirm its the original engine therefore it is on paper poss that it is not the original engine ;) and as that is the case and it is that the replacement engine was from an earlier car say 1990 then it does not require an emissions test on the newer stricter emissions and falls in to the basic one like any pre 92 car ;) so tell them its had an engine fitted out of a 1990 and you dont even need to have cats fitted this applies to all imports and uk cars also in some aspects mot tester may ask for a letter of you just to confirm this for his safe being ;)
  9. i will say 583 with clutch being the limiting factor :) as i think it will start to slip after that figure good luck
  10. we all have our own way i just tend to do it in two stages agreed power and engine braking involved in mapping is ideal for breaking rings in i just prefer a half engine limit around 4.5k rpm for few hundred miles on mineral oil before swapping to synthetic and mapping the top end
  11. ooooo mapping a car after 100 miles :( not s good
  12. ooooo mapping a car after 100 miles :( not s good
  13. been looking at these as well mark as mine has play to
  14. agreed although i am swapping to 5 40 fuchs pro s as i believe the 50 was to thick and causing my liffter issue dropping compression on rev limit we will see if its gone :)
  15. mark is correct boost creep can only be caused by a wastegate being to small or not opening properly due to a actuator or something stopping it fault
