Autobox, only got 1st and 2nd
there's no grinding noises or anything, just refuses to change up from 2'nd. Not a good sign I know. I've done the workshop manual ecu test and all 10 lights flash normal so im thinking it's a mechanical problem. Is there anything else i could check? grasping at straws I know.....

Important Announcement ~ Billing Cancelled
- strange turbo noise
only happens in boost so presume it's turbo's. after it hit's the high revs, the sound gradually fades away after a few seconds. This is very hard to describe, but it sounds like a hoover ! slight vibration goes with it...- German car drivers, blitzed um...
as soon as they get behind the wheel they get a superiority complex and assume every other car in their vicinity is crap, especially if it's japanese, hat's off to ya :duffer:- ungrateful wife
   i love it- Respray, how much was yours....?
1500 euro (about1K ST) that was including fitting of new bodywork too- Northern Ireland Group??????
Sure you would, just pop over to the ferry and away you go, love rubbing it in eh?- Northern Ireland Group??????
I'd well be up for this! A good start to get a few Z's over here for a weekend session. As Tulip said there's a few of us in the south, add to that the north and some UK owners it would make a great meet. Suzy , the chairlady over at Zclub.net has mentioned the idea of an Irish tour on a couple of occasions too.- pearl white respray
- pearl white respray
I know this is a jap colour, but would you need to visit a specialist? The people who did my respray couple of years ago couldn't do flip colours but they are sound guys and i'm hoping to go back there and do the yucky work , stripping and masking and all that myself to keep the costs down, just wondering If anyone else went down this road on a budget?- tomorrows Ireland meet DEFINITELY ON
Ok i sent a couple of pm's out earlier with the possibility of postponing because of the weather, but i guess most people are out on Saturday night and won't recieve them.So we''ll steam ahead and meet up tomorrow at 1 o'clock at the beehive as planned. Let's just hope the rain eases if even for 30 minutes or so.....- Irish meet 2007........
lets leave the thread sit for a while and see what happens- Irish meet 2007........
Are you one of the members coming from the North Mark? If it was possible to contact everyone tonight and postpone it for a couple of weeks i would- Irish meet 2007........
just been looking at sky's weather for tomorrow, looks awful. cold, heavy rain and strong wind from around 12pm. F*cking typical, a winters day in May  Guess it's too late to postpone huh? Trish, i was trying to call you but got no reply. Been looking forward to this for weeks, now i'm not getting too excited about a 200 mile round trip in the rain with a car full of mud and shite. Anyone else feeling like me? F*CKin F*ckin weather, i'm not in a good mood- Irish meet 2007........
no way, sun's gonna be splitting the rocks my friend ;) BTW tried txting you too Trish, you changed your number?- 180Mph Clock? mhmmm?
How does this affect the odometer? the chip hardly changes that to mph? I've got the same km/to mph conversion and wonder what the real mileage is- smokin
Got the exact same problem on the drivers side. are the seals a tricky job to replace? Guess what i'm really asking is if it's a d.i.y job presuming you can get access to a lift?- I'm like that fella in the VW bora ad
ever since I got my chip and boost jets fitted last week i find myself asking the mrs every ten minutes "you sure you're ok for fags love?" or "i need some more weedkiller, i'm off to homebase" or "better make sure we've got milk for the kids in the morning".....lol it's like driving a new car. I must have been on safety boost or something. Tried to count 0-60 today fumbling with my mobile phone stopwatch, felt like 2 seconds , (impossible to do on your own BTW), .................oh well think i need to grow up now :D- £20,000 for a 1991 Z TT
Jasus thought it was bad over here, 20k for a bog standard z? well someones holding the flag for all of us! Average prices here at the moment are between 4kand 10k euro. But getting more common in Ireland than before definitely. it's not the young petrol heads buying them though, more the late 30's early forties (like myself) who want a bit of exlusivity and class ;) . Stranger still, the amount of GTO's and Supra's i've seen in the last couple of years has diminished. What's that telling us? Well for one , looks wise the 300zx is definitely in pole position on the "ageing" front, I could say loads more but someone else will have other opinions i'm sure.- Irish meet 2007........
Good idea, any chance you guys can stick Ireland in the events section?- smartarse gets his comeuppance
in fairness i'm a gentle giant and would probably shit myself had it got serious :D- 30 hours and 1000 miles Later and I need to change my sig!
Judging by the red z emblem it's a late model, 94+ ? - strange turbo noise
