  1. i took my car to have new tyres, all seemed well untill i needed to remove the rear pass wheel to get at the brakes, it turns out the monkey with the air gun had gotten carried away and " forgot " to tell me he had totally stripped two out of five wheel nuts, impressed i certainley was not . if i had of not needed to take the wheel off who knows how long i could have been hurtling around in this manner...

  6. mate, i have had an absolute mare with this very thing, stating the obvious , clocks are different between manual and Automatic, ( as in power etc etc,) my clocks also had cruise control lights and was an airbag model, so yes there are a lot of differences between them apart from the connectors on the back, in my opinion a bitch to sort out. but if you want to chat then bell me 07929159828, i also have numerous bits that you can have ( not buy) if it helps you to build up a set of working clocks.

  16. a little update ... car has sat since the weekend , first turn of the key and away it went, warmed engine up a little then turned it off, tried to start it again and lo and behold it would not just turned over and over on the key, pumped the throttle lots wehilst turning it over and it finally coughed and spluttered into life, again ran it up a little then turned off and checked ecu :- came back with code 55 , so tried to start it again, and it turned over and over again on the key , finally after pumping the throttle it sluttered eventually into life, again ran it for a while then checked ecu again got code 55, shut door and stomped off resloving to vent my spleen on the forum, any ideas people ?????
  17. john, are you able to contact me ????? 07929159828
  18. nick, it might sound a bit odd but i have two suggestions for you on the rockers wrking loose, 1st) double nut and lock each against each other if there is room, use loctite as well 2) if there is not room to double nut, then single lock nut , but drill and tap a hole in the side of the nut, then when the nut is torqued down, insert a grubscrew into the side with a liberal dose of loctite, nip it up, then no chance the nut will ever work loose on the stud. if you want mate ill come down and give you a lift with fettling the charriot thoughts Neil
  19. hi ian, sorry mate your are 100 % right , i got mixed up with terminology wherever i typed oxygen sensor replace with cat temp sensor, mysteriously code 13 no longer shows up but the car still has a flat spot when warm , even though the ecu gives code 55, booked into zedworld now for live monitoring and possibly a nissan 300 fueled outdoor bonfire and barbecue
  20. here we go then, reconnected the battery, turned ignition on ECU read code 13, fired engine up , ran up to normal temp and again had flat spot , tried to monitor oxygen sensors but could not get a diagnostic reading on them ??? ( when the car was decatted they were snipped off under the car) when i reinstalled the cats i re soldered the joints under the car.turned engine off, went back to ecu diagnostics and this time got code 55 what on earth is going on....................
