hi mark , to answer your questions , the car is 5 years old , however it has had a 15 tanks of model technics 16 % fuel through it , dont understand about glow plugs blowing , however it has had a couple fitted during the fifteen or so tanks being used , if you would advise different fuel thats fine , and if you are able to text me the address to send the car and controller to that would be great, oh it will also need the annsman safety switch checking blah blah blah, basically a bit of derby style lovin . ta sayers

Mr D , can i take advantage of your model car skills please, My son has a hobaio hyper 7 .28 TQ nitro, the bloody thing is really driving us mad to the point that we are thinking about swapping it for an electric car, reason is it keeps cutting out even when warm and is generally unreliable , because of this it has hardly been used , would you be able to tune it / set it up for us , if so what would the cost be pls , if possible i would love to have to brakes set up as well as it currently has erm none . along with a good general check over and service. it does have uprated servos and a few other bits . oh we use a good quality fuel as well let me know your thoughts pls Sayers 07929 159828

Hi all, posting on behalf of my dad really, he has nearly completed the restoration of his XJS 5.3 V12, he has now found the valve clearences to be out, the upshot is that he needs the shims currently in place to be surface ground down by 3 to 4 thou. is there anybody out there who has access to a suface grinder and would be prepared to spend half an hour flashing them to the required size, Thanks Sayers

Probably been asked before but hey ho, Is it possible to swap the guts of a TT Diff with those of an NA diff leaving the finished diff fully boltable up to a TT car ,complete with Hicas etc etc ?? thanks Sayers

Okay then, does anybody have a NA they are breaking that i can take the parts from ???

can i use my existing half shafts ??? and simply recconect them at the diff end what about suspension, wheel hubs and brakes , are these all different as well ???? is it possible to swap the internals of the differential

is the 2.8 engine as bad for killing headgaskets ???

not sure on the year , but it must be 10 - 15 years old

it now turns over but really really slowly, it has two fully charged batteries connected to it so the slow turnover is not due to lack of electricity

apparently he did not notice the temp going up, he did notice a huge puff of blue and white smoke at which point he pulled over, the engine was under massisve load and stress as it was chugging up a very long and steep hill with a caravan behind it ,but now it seems that he could not stop straight away and had to continue for 5 mins or so to a suitable stopping point , if it is just the head what would it cost to refub and skim the head , if it is more serious than that how do it tell ??

Hope no body minds but i need some advice on behalf of a friend who has an issue with his 2.5 TD Pajero Turns out he was pulling a caravan up a long and steep hill, suddenly out the exaust comes plumes of blue and white smoke , he pulled over and found the engine now empty of water, tried to turn the car over on the key , and it did but very very slowly, it does not run ,turnover or try to fire , any thoughts as to what may be wrong 1) head blown 2) piston meltdown 3) blown turbo etc etc, any advice gratefully received
