Thats a good point, but what you can do is buy (or make) an adjustable voltage amplifier to increase the voltage to the pump, then when you need the extra fuel just switch it on, so no need to keep it running at the high voltage all the time, i have had the standard pump running at 15.0v with no probs, but the pump does get warmer after about 30mins, so its not advisable to keep it on all the time.

The last one i done was very tight and the only way i could get it off was to apply some heat to the inner bearing (try to keep the flame away from the shaft), you only want to expand the bearing, but before you do wash all the grease off with brake cleaner, then when its nice and hot get it under the fly press and it should fall out. I have the megan racing divorced down pipes and decats, and i cant fault them, good build quality and good value for money, noticed instantly that the engine revs a lot better with them fitted, a good mod to do. Dont matter what ones you go for they are a pain in the arse to fit if you are doing the down pipes aswell, have a look at my rides.

Was thinking the same thing with my one, when i get my gearbox back in the car (hopefully this weekend, weather permitting), i am going to have a play around with the main power cable to the ALC and put a switch in line so you can turn the power off to it, I dont know what will happen ? Has anyone tried this before ?. Will keep you informed.

If you have problems starting that lump try to put them red things that are on the end of them yellow wires on the spark plugs ??????
