  1. Happy birthday brother.
  2. To be honest, it'd depend how much money u had lol
  3. The suspension bit will have been around £1k somewhere mate. As for the ride, if I'm honest, I don't know yet as none of it's fitted. I currently have Meister R Zeta S coilovers which are canny enough but I think the pre-tension or whatever it's called might be set wrong on the back - Seems a little too solid on speed bumps. I think the Z1 FUCA's will give a great ride but I doubt the other bits will but CZP seemed to think they'll not make the ride harsh or crashy - - - Updated - - - I think... You're onto something
  4. What makes you think I only have 1 spare one???
  5. What Russ said... Those things are huge. In regards to the choice, if I'm completely honest, I was really unsure what to get. The general opinion on the Z1 FUCA's was very positive, the likes of funky si rave about them and I respect his opinion on this kind of thing given how tip top he keeps his Z (likewise with some other people's opinions). The SPL parts were chosen as they seem to be the best you can get, or at least that's what several people thought, reports said and CZP also believe. Only problem is, they're also about the most expensive you can find too. The driftworks stuff has very mixed reviews / opinions to be honest so I decided to steer clear apart from the total hicas eliminator kit as this seems pretty good and the hydraulic pipes and that under the car were bust, so I need to lock the wheels. I'm only really doing this to straighten the wheels slightly (debated on shims too) from the car being lowered ever so slightly. This followed on from this thread where I'm wanting my car to look as best as it can. The suspension / getting the wheels sitting In a nice stance was the last thing on the list apart from tidying the interior which I'm waiting for Mondo to fit in. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?181262-Make-my-zed-look-better
  6. Yup, we had snow here yesterday
  7. Lol. I think I just feel the forum seems to be a little slower recently.
  8. I have to say, I do like the supra as well as the zed, think I like them in slightly modified state over stock, mainly the front bumper and rear spoiler are things I'm not massively keen on
  9. Sarcasm for this thread going up like a lead balloon mate
  10. Well this was fun haha
  11. To be honest, with the blue on, I just need to actually do stuff on it. It's the wiring but that's putting me off.
  12. Been spending quite a bit of cash on the zeds over the last few weeks So, for the blue car, I've bought some new UK clocks which gets rid of the EL type ones that were/are in it. Think I'll have to fit some chrome speedo rings... got a set lying around somewhere. I've also bought another Veilside evolution exhaust system for the blue one... Will probably end up sitting unfitted in the garage like. For the black zed, I'm waiting on delivery of the Stillen type III lip from mjp. Also bought some nice (but expensive) suspension parts. I got: - Z1 FUCA's (street version) - SPL pro titanium RUCA's - SPL pro titanium tension rods - Driftworks HICAS eliminator kit
  13. I went round ohm testing my injectors the other day, found it much better with crocodile clips than trying the hold the rods steady
  14. You doing the welding yourself? Keith maybe?
  15. So, if you knew how to change gear, would you still like the auto more?:rofl::tongue:
  16. Was it the blue one?
  17. We should have a meet at your house lol. Have you checked anything so far?
  18. Try z centre... Might have some stock maybe. As an alternative, maybe contact dasstech garage, he might be able to make some up or fix it. Boldy on here is another alternative too.
  19. Needs to be done when cold too I believe
  20. Have you tried checking the resistance on the injectors mate? Are they stock injectors?
  21. You're welcome and I'm glad you got something nice. Shame you couldn't get a new compressor though
  22. I do have very slight hesitation on touching the accelarator too. The O2 sensors aren't pluged in so do to you think any of this could be that?
  23. I'm not really sure tbh Jeff. Kind of following on from my post about spark plugs the other day. I'm not really sure whether they look right but I'm not convinced they do. This thread if you'd be happy to give your opinion. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?184435-spark-plugs so I'm looking to see if I can find any small leaks etc. I've tried a boost leak test and didn't find anything, was only using a tire pump though which isn't really good but it was holding it around 3.5psi. So going through the vac pipes but I've often wondered why the pipe from the throttle body to the cc wasn't connected, certainly doesn't seem to be any air going in or coming out of the pipe. I do any that when the car is cold, it seems to have a small misfire. Ohm tested all the injectors and they were all pretty much identical.
  24. So that little pipe looks like its just above the CC in the other pictures, so its not next to the air filter as in under the centre panel? I guess my main thing is, I just want to make sure there's no vac leaks. So it could be worth me just capping off the balance bar which would eliminate the CC right? So if no difference when doing this then I'm guessing its fine. Might be worth me reconnecting the pipe back to the throttle body though, I don't get why that's been done but I noticed on the simplified vac pipe photos that the nipple at the throttle body is often capped so the CC must be remove on that simplified version
  25. The pipe under the IC pipes I'm meaning is the 1 of 2 - one goes to the back of the balance pipe and the other is currently going to nothing. I'm guessing this one should be going to the throttle body. I'm guessing to see what things are connected to on the CC would mean taking the bumper off? Is there any pictures of the vac pipe that goes near to the air filter? I don't recall seeing one down there apart from the recircs
