  1. Was or has always been a popular choice as far as I'm aware. I have one of the AEM pumps that Noel was selling last year and it seems ok so far.
  2. O2 sensors are so expensive aren't they
  3. My original zed, UK spec started completely stock
  4. To be honest, I think it's mainly just the bits that everyone does apart from the radio surround, pod holders which you can't really see anyway and the steering column thing
  5. Mike at MJP can get you OEM parts if they're available mate. I agree the website isn't that great but generally speaking, just ring him and ask him how much for whatever you need. Alternatively, there's Z-Centre, Nissan or part suppliers in general, a lot of people order stuff from the states etc too, such as Z1, CZP, Specialty-Z etc. often just a case of shopping around for the best deal. If it's fairly common parts you're after, it could be worth looking at past posts in MJp's section on here as he might have given a price for the stuff in the past... Obviously might not be the same now, but could work as a guide
  6. Please bare in mind, I have just stuck them in place here, they aren't fitted properly but I doubt it'd look much different. I do have newer metal bits that were made up which are a little better looking, but still just the same really. I'm obviously not that keen myself if I'm honest but all of your views are always good to hear. Do we think the centre radio surround should maybe stay blue though, I don't mind it to be honest (apart from where all the buttons are
  7. I think it'd have been interesting when first done. Thing is, I quite like the stock interior if I'm honest.
  8. Thanks Will, I appreciate yours and everyone else's 2 cents worth mate and appreciate anyone who takes the time to reply. I like the idea of something different, I'm just not sure I can get away with it hence the post?
  9. The heater stuff isn't in there mate. If you look at the radio surround there's a square where the temperature etc shows and there's a bunch of buttons that go around it. I think once its all wired in, it'd be easy to find what does what. I know generally what things would do what
  10. They're basically flat pieces and fit onto the pod holders spot on really, they need to be glued/stuck in place though. The buttons, can all have what they do stuck on, id need to put them in properly though, just paved them in to show what they look like. The centre radio bit would have the aircon display and all the control buttons on it. I'm just not sure they look better than they would in stock form. If I did go back to stuck, the drivers door trim would need looking at as its been made to have a handle the same as the passenger side
  11. So, been putting some of the blue car back together and I'm not too sure what to do. The previous owner had done a bunch of custom stuff, like brushed metal buttons and things. I'm trying to decide whether to go with it or return some of it back to stock. What do you lot think on this? Might make for an interesting debate.
  12. For me, apart from the technical reasons, I just think they look loads better (fully), on the second zed I bought, it had these EL dials, I had some normal jap clocks lying around so I've changed them for UK ones:
  13. Could it be because you used an aerosol for part of it. I thought they didn't mix well cos of something or other in the cans
  14. Went round with a multimeter and ohm testing all of the injectors which were all 10.7 - 10.8 so pretty spot on. Also ohm tested all the splitfires coilpacks, they were all pretty much on 1.0 each. I'm assuming that's within spec spec too but I'm not completely sure. Changed all the spark plugs for my older 7's and the car seemed to run a lot smoother... But will have to give it a few days of use really.
  15. This is terrible to see. Really sad news mate
  16. Well, I've done a couple of little it's on the spare zed, not a lot like but I did the brake master cylinder and servo a couple of weeks back... What a pain in the arse job that was, I'm far too big for a zed foot well. A couple of days ago, I bought some new UK clocks, so today, I decided to go in my zed shed thinking I must have some chome rings or something along with all the other random stuff I have, and yup I found some. Shame I didn't have any UK clocks in there, just jap ones. So here's some picture: These are the old clocks Dash is obviously still in bits New brake servo and master cylinder: Old one ain't looking too hot The new ones looking good:
  17. Yup. Could be off something like the air filter pipes or the recirc pies etc. could be worth looking, especially if you have any air leaks ;-)
  18. That's from a jubilee clip mate
  19. I've been waiting for your photos Dave but I didn't want to put them up
  20. I usually go to TOTB too
  21. The heated mirrors part comes from the same button as the heated windscreen now mate
  22. I'm not sure here but could it be one set of connections (uk) having heat but not folding and the jap mirrors folding electronically?
