Just felt like I need a rant. So I'm looking for a front wing from a black K reg Zed. http://www.japparts.com in teesside have a back bumper from the car. So naturally I called them to say, I need the wing from the car if possible. Anyway, they've said that they won't guarantee colours. So I can order a wing however I will just get whatever they take off whatever car they have. So even if they have the car in the right colour I might get a different one. So I asked if he could just confirm that they have the car, which again they won't confirm. I'm thinking FFS, surely you can walk outside and have a quick look. I even said I would come down, take the wing off and everything myself to which I can't do as it's a closed yard. Surely a breakers yard could be a little more helpful when they know they have the car. I think they are an absolute joke and their customer service has been utterly dreadful.

How do you find doing the sport mate? I am an official for wheelchair basketball and the rules etc are so complicated. It amazes me how truly skilled some of the guys are. Ive had a go at playing too as I play and officiate the able bodied game as well. Obviously I was just using other people's chairs so they weren't that suited to me buy I had a great time. Would be silly me playing it as a sport though as firstly I'd get a kicking, and secondly with the basketball (and I assume other team sports) it works on points systems - an able bodied participant is worth too Many points and you can only have a max of X number of points on the court at once. As much as I love the odd time the guys had let me in the chairs, I could never really understand how hard it would be to not have the freedom and accessibility that I am fortunate enough to have as an able bodied person. I personally think you and others do great and appreciate what you have, a lot more than me and most others who take their general lives for granted. It's amazing how quickly a life could be over or drastically changed in a heart beat.

Thanks Jaffa, So I have the full greddy setup but changed the manifolds recently to pentroof style ones. As for the exhaust, it's a zaustec one but from looking t it the other day, the front section doesn't belong with the back, back halves pipes are only 2" and the front are 2.5-3" so I think I'd rather just get a full new exhaust system

The ecu is a nistune. The air filter is just a single one. I have the doolz thingy at home but read very mixed reviews so decided not to bother with that

Btw, i Think the map was retarding the timing.

Maybe about as much as they'd trust me. We have the GTR Shop up here but to be honest I think he's overpriced and would rather travel a little to people I know who'd do a good job. Just personal preference really

I'm not too sure what's happened with the timing as it was right the last time it was checked. Maybe the CAS unit is bust??? It wasn't all checked just before going on the dyno. To be honest I didn't have the time between getting the nod to have it done (finally) and actually coming down. I get that I should have but on the other hand I'm glad I went anyway as the map that was on it was very poor. John said I'm lucky it hasn't blown up which is a testament to how strong the engine it'self is. I'm going to do the exhaust next, any suggestions on what to go for?

That torque was quite good, I don't have the printout with me but I'm sure it was over 400. The car drives a lot better. I think one of tHe belts have skipped a tooth mate or the CAS ain't eight as we've had to turn it fully to one side to get the right timing. I can put the printout up tomorrow if you like. Where would I get the adjustable cam pulleys? John was a great help and all round a great guy. Did a lot more than the or opus guys who were looking to tune it. It also wants to cut out after being on boost, revs drop off, the idle control valve was changes but didn't fix it... Did make it better tho

Popular tread this one lol. Right. So firstly it's a little disappointing to be honest, it ended up at 452 point something. So that problems I had were: Believe it or not, the exhaust was too small and resticting. So that was a problem. The mid to rear section is only a 2" pipe. Next, I need to upgrade the cams. The main one at the minute is the exhaust though. Anyone got any ideas what I should get? When the car went in today it had an fc tuning map and to be honest wasn't running well at all, also the timing was out by either 6 or 9 degrees (can't remember exactly). Was also running something or other which was very dangerous - 14 afr or something like that. Anyway, it's running a lot nicer now and is obviously quicker so that's good but would like liked higher figures.

So today I drove over 200 miles down to Wellington and I contacted Lee Dent just to go and meet some forum members etc. Lee offered to have a look over my car before I go to get it tuned by john dixon tomorrow. Lee was very hospitable and fed me and my orher half with a few drinks of coffee and We had a great time talking about cars. Lee helped me do a smoke test and we found 1 very small boost leak which got sorted very quickly, he also had a general look around the engine and car. Got the car in the air and took the plastics off to sort out my washer pumps (replaced with the ones mark sent me the other day). Also sorted me with some exhaust hangers. All for very cheap :) All in all I really enjoyed meeting lee and would feel very confident taking my car there or recommending him to all of you. I really hope more of you go and meet lee and possibly use his services. Lee - if you read this thank you very much for today, we really appreciate it pal.

I don't know much about the boost level to be honest. I would guess that will be set by john when we do it

I'm finally going to get the car tuned by john dixon on Saturday. So I thought it might be nice for people to guess what power I will come back with (providing it doesn't go tits up) So a basic run down on the spec that'll probably make a difference... Forged internals - eagle rods etc etc Greddy td05 16G turbos 740cc nismo injectors AMS Underdrive pulley New splitfire coilpacks All the usual stuff like air filter and exhaust etc. Southbend clutch and RPS segmented flywheel Can't remember all the other basic stuff So come on guess away. Feel free to ask if anything else is done
