  1. I passed mine the other day too :-)
  2. Even when I rev quite high the revs still drop a little though. I don't remember that being a problem before lol. Plus when I driver other cars it doesn't seem to happen :-/. Maybe it's just not as obvious
  3. The battery is too small for the plate it sits on and not tall enough for the tie downs. Definately too small it physical size at least. The car is a manual conversion - do the auto and manual alternators differ in size or anything? So if the revs are dropping, would this be something else at fault or could the alternator/battery be playing a part in that as generally the revs seem ok... Maybe I just need to rev it higher when I want to pull away.
  4. So you think the alternator is knackered? Just it seems to keep the battery charged enough so it gets me started every day
  5. I was thinking the other day and wondered how important it is to have the right size battery in your car. Mine is definately too small and I wondered if that affects any of the running of the car. I know when I'm pulling away the lights will sometimes go a bit dimmer and the blowers will slow down a little. What do you think? Is it really important?
  6. I think it sounds like the fuse as well. It's in the drivers footwell mate, top row, 3rd from the left - a red 10A fuse. See here for the diagram... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?164654-Fuse-box-translation
  7. I'm interested in the answer to this
  8. I think the problem is that our car's just simply aren't as popular as others... For example the Supra, Evo's Scooby's etc. There just aren't any many companies wanting to make a loss on the parts. Then there's the other side of things, our UK part's people. Quite frankly, good businesses like smithy's place and DTA die because the market isn't big enough and those of us who want parts then go to companies in other countries such as Z1 or conceptZ in the states. This puts them out of business. Luke (ZCente) is still afloat but I rarely use him as I can get stuff cheaper from the states. If he would match the price we'd pay to get the stuff over here ourselves, then I would use him a lot more and I'm sure he'd still make a profit. Some companies make a penny on the deals they do (after overheads etc), but it's profit and they have thousands of customer because of that. I just hope that companies will start to get the business at the right price. Please note I am not saying anything bad about any company here and have and will continue to use them all (depending on cost and availability etc)
  9. Thanks guys. So I ended up just making a decision based on value for money from the top so many (quality score given by the sites for performance). Anyway, I decided to get some hankook k110's
  10. They don't one to my area lol
  11. So should I just get a front tension arm bush?
  12. So what do you lot normally look for in your tyres? Any specific tread patterns, whether directions or not etc
  13. The falls have only lasted about 4k. The inside edge seems to be wearing loads. Even after doing the tracking it doesn't seem to help. The 453's are completely different and aren't even directional
  14. Thanks mate Mytyres don't have any. Ill try the dealers for falken on Monday but I remember the last time was a bit of a mare. Maybe a need to try a new tyre
  15. Does anyone have any idea how to get these nowadays? No one seems to have them in my size. I'm after 235 40 18's. Camskill and blackcircles have nowt.
  16. Not really getting the rattle in neutral
  17. How would I check that? Don't know if its a sign but the cars clutch fluid was very low, gonna monitor it over the next week or so
  18. Prop shaft is fine (checked it while getting mot today)
  19. Hell no lol. I'm useless :-/ And I know the area well, that's where my motorbike went missing :-(

  21. How do I check the temp sender on datascan? Should it read something specific or just tell me the temperature? I have checked the connectors but isn't look at the maf one (cos I'm silly) but the whole loom is pretty new. Ill double check for boost leaks and ill you know. Is it 7 or 9 psi you put through ? - - - Updated - - - How do I check the temp sender on datascan? Should it read something specific or just tell me the temperature?
