  1. This was a shocker, it's like on the empire strikes back where Yoda becomes one with the force. All the best though Jeff for you and the family.
  2. Yeah I didn't see this coming at all, but happy retirement Jeff, and Good luck Mark. What's happening with Jamie?
  3. excellent cheers paul. I don't have CAT's like, but I could be able to make it work.
  4. It turns out The front pipes from the turbo's to the centre section are stainless, however everything else appears not to be. and the pipes between the centre section and the back boxes are quite badly corroded. to the point of just behind the wheel little holes are forming before the back boxes. I'm unsure what to do though, I've been told there maybe a place local that does custom 2,3/4" pipe so i could possibly just get the worst bits replaced and keep the back boxes and the centre section or find a new one. I am a little concerned about buying one off the shelf because I may have some trouble lining up with my bumper. Any suggestions?
  5. Well done to the pair of you, hope your getting a little baby recaro for the back
  6. Had a go at fitting some gaskets today, and gave them a good hose down with some silicon spray. the one that was really noisy now isn't, but the other one is still a little squeaky. so I've made progress. gunna have another go at spraying them tomorrow.
  7. Well hopefully if the weather stays nice I plan to get the wheel off tomorrow to lower it a little more so i'll give it a go.
  8. There wasn't a gasket on the standard shocks and none came with the new ones. there was a metal gasket on the front shocks but not on the back.
  9. Finally got my coil overs fitted. they were second hand bought from a forum member, had them for a while before eventually fitting them. managed to get them on all right, and adjusted the height a couple of times but still think I can go lower. But the most annoying thing is the rears (one in particular) squeak like a bitch. sounds awful and is ruining my driving experience. I tried a bit of wd40 as a simple fix, and after a spirited drive it must of seeped in because it stopped, (or greatly reduced). but now after a couple more drives its come back. Eventually I do plan to get the wheel off and give it a better lube. but is this going to be a case, lubing it up every couple of trips or could there be something else wrong with them? I know how you all like photo's so here's a couple
  10. Sorry, bud, had some computer trouble. scrap that order though, going to go down the short shifter route instead. thanks anyway though.
  11. Any chance you could stick one of these on your order? http://www.z1motorsports.com/product...oducts_id=1874
  12. I always liked the idea of a short shift so think i'll go with that. but i won't need to get new bushes aswel as a short shift kit?
  13. The rear is an Impul bumper (same as the skirts). And the interior is just a red retrim, the rear headrests are just resting between the boot blind and the seats. should be some more pictures if you have a look on my profile.
  14. Does it have a two way switch? without knowing which ones have voltage i couldn't be sure, but I'm guessing the ones that are joined are using chocky block? if yeah then the best way would be to just leave it as they are, put the earth into the E terminal and your L and N as they were on the last fitting, i.e blue as your live and black as your neutral. that should work...
  15. Old thread, but I still haven't fixed this, if i get a short shifter kit, will that solve the problem without new bushes??
  16. Clipped it on a steep ramp, my own foolish fault really. haven't had it fixed yet because i know I'll end up doing it again after its been lowered. wasn't too bothered because at least it gets another go at the color.
  17. managed to give it a good wash and polish yesterday and get the roof off. So thought i'd take a couple of photo's with my new phone. first set with proper fitting tire's. Should hopefully have coil overs fitted and my bumper repaired within the next month.
  18. Thanks guys, I wasn't gunna get cheep pads like, was thinking ebc's, mintex or brembo. Think i'm just gunna risk it and get the discs, i'll let you know what they're like when i get them fitted.
  19. To be honest the front pair aren't that bad, they were second hand from zedworld, its the rears that are battered, but thought i may as well just do the lot to be sure, but i'm a little concerned about them been cheep ebay crap that'll warp after a couple of 100miles
  20. Got a little bit of wheel wobble under breaking, so was thinking of doing a full set of disc's and pads when i put the coil-overs on. Found these on ebay? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300ZX-Z32-TT-Front-Rear-Drilled-Grooved-Brake-Discs-/300506942768?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ANissan%7CModel%3A300+ZX&hash=item45f79c0d30 Anybody tried anything similar?
  21. I've seen a few items priced like this. I always thought it was money laundering....
  22. Thanks alot guys. the zeds been out every day this week. still too cold to have the targas off though.
  23. So if the wheel spacers fit the hub ok, then if i just put the spigot rings on the inside of the wheel as normal then it shouldn't feel any different?
  24. Yeah they were my mates first words, "it'll eat wheel bearings" what size do you have fitted mark? do you have spigot rings too?
  25. That's what i thought too, I've seen various photos and the odd post with people having them fitted and I've never seen any posts relating to problems. but are eBay aluminium good enough? Do you have any fitted yourself vods?
