  1. whats the first event you plan on attending with this beast?
  2. A Word of advise for anyone wanting shiney bolts dont buy these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A2-Stainless-Steel-Button-Head-Screw-Allen-Socket-Bolts-M3-M4-M5-M6-M8-/160792810792?pt=UK_DIY_Material_Nails_Fixing_MJ&var=&hash=item256fff9528 Ive already had to drill 3 out. what a pain in the ass!
  3. You aint heard it yet paul, it sounds like im being followed by a dragon! That exhaust i made (whilst its temporary i did it on my back on axle stands) is super loud. Hopefully i make it to ToTB as it maybe a similar colour to yours this time ;)
  4. After evaluating the tolerances of loweing the engine it looks like its either custom inlet manifold and another custom sump....or a bonnet bulge. ...yay.
  5. Had a tint on my rear screen and had bubbles in it so i started to get rid....then i found out there was 3 tints one on top of the other and i was peeling it off in strips! And Finally. Also managed to get a few picks of the underside of my car whilst it was being MOt'd
  6. Im no knowledge guru but with your budget yes your likely looking at Auto's if the bodywork is reasonable. Regarding the manual box they are all the same except for the bellhousing. The bellhousing has casting marks on the N/a that the TT does not have and they have to be ground down to fit over a TT flywheel (simple job) Also with the stock z32 transmission there are only 5 speeds and there are people on here using them with over 600 ponies at the wheels, so they are pretty sturdy.
  7. Getting it mapped. Speak to Turbonoz / noz / noel
  8. why dont you do something different? Maybe...Twin charge? The evo's now have an off the shelf kit for this. it'll be pretty nuts.
  9. Haha it's pretty anti social. The next place it's going is for a mapping session. Then some casual driving ;)
  10. Auto hahaha. What would a manual be worth...20-25??
  11. Cheers guys! I was so nervous. something i did notice is the amount of diff slap i have is unreal, changing gear under load and you get a loud thud...sounds very 'track car'
  12. Alan, I don't know why your telling me they need work, your the one who's going to be sorting them ;) (i hope) anyway i went out in it today for the first time to pic up this piece of paper. It hasnt had one in 7 years and before anyone says anything, no cheating took place! It was carried out at We only MOT in lincoln. Now to carry on with the plans hehe.
  13. Busy sitting on his arse more like.
  14. Stick a stock one in briefly without he map. See if it starts. If it does you've found the fault, get soldering. Especially as they are cheap as chips. If it isn't the fault sell it to Noel so he can get his gold toilet seats.
  15. Dont forget Boldy at bodymech, he is a wizard at this now.
  16. Agree with joel here. It feels great finding stuff like that!
  17. I completely understand what your saying, and im hoping to get another front subframe to chop up and lower the engine around just under an Inch to avoid any humps at all because i think they look Sh!te! However i cant do much about that at the moment so engine poking out of he bonnet it is for now. As you can see the bonnet i have chopped up is slightly dented here and there so no matter. I already have a fresh bonnet to put on as soon as i have lowered the engine.
  18. And last but not least.....My second attempt at driving my V8 Zed. >>>>>>>>>> Propshaft is now of the correct length The car is SO much louder than shown in the video (hope it gets through an MOT) The exhaust drones so much in car its unbelievable, The road i tested it on shook me to bits it was unreal (the roads fault) Those tires have zero grip in the wet, but all in all it was a success....i think.
  19. Heres a pic of the revised bonnet as the engine sits high Heres my temporary exhaust i made from scraps of tubes and back boxes donated from Lee Dent  As the majority of it is mild steel i gave it some paint to stop it looking hideous so quickly.
  20. Well update time....Just over 2 weeks ago i went for my 'first drive' and in honesty it never went well. I barely got 30ft from the garage until some horrendous noise and shuddering occurred. after backing it in the garage and thinking, I gave Lee dent a fairly brief description of the issue and without any hesitation he claimed it was from a prop shaft which was too long. Well the weirdo was right so heres a pic! luckily it was only just too big and never damaged the rear of the gearbox. Well after consulting with Jeff and lynda once again and the pair of them being ever helpful once again i fitted it all back together but in the meantime I received my arch rolling tool. Before After
  21. That's epic! How much it cost you?!
  22. welding upside down sucks when your on your back and the car is barely a foot of the ground.
  23. before looked like a track zed and pretty cool. But after looks pretty sweet man, i love the colour. Good decisions have been made here.
  24. as above, its only material. There are other zeds out there and you get to start your zed adventure again! Glad your okay buddy.
