  1. i have a Concept Z one going spare. My mate has it. I will see if I can persuade him to send it back to me:taz::taz:
  2. Have you tried a direct feed to the motor????
  3. Yep that is Bob's car at AME workshops nr Silverstone.
  4. you will have the cast iron caliper as the alloy one was dropped on later cars in Japan
  5. the later cars like Bob genies slicktop are not "ganky" in the slightest. In fact they are much nicer than plain Fridge white. IMO:biggrin::biggrin:
  6. Maybe. i would want to see it and examine it closely . especially for finger wear. Also friction material wear. 16K??? well 16k in a reps mondeo on the motorway is not a lot. 16K in some TTs will probably wear out the clutch. depends on car. driver. power and style of driving.etc. most new clutch kits come with a new release bearing and some have a new spigot bearing too. so check that out before you buy separately. Very few people in the UK hold stocks of stuff for 300ZX due to lack of demand.
  7. i am running a RPS MAX STREET clutch. on a Fidanza flywheel. I have just made my first trip using it and Im happy with the "feel" Most of you wont like it cos its a TT set up activated by a non servo NA pedal. So moderate force required to activate. I bought it because it was the most powerful organic clutch I could find. It will be overkill for my NA power but it will take lots of hard pepetitive launchs Im sure
  8. Wait no longer... Its mapped! I had a really productive day at Emerald today. Given that this is a stock engine from a previous "breaker " of mine I am well pleased with the results. The headline figure of 232 BHP is actually lower than the figure recorded 6 years ago on my old slicktop (242 bhp) Since BHP is a rather meaningless calculated figure Im not too bothered by the actual number itself. Most dyno operators like to "please" their clients with a good figure. Emerald are well known for producing "modest" figures. Just look at the progression of smooth power all the way up from 2500 to 6500. Just look at the torque it makes over the same range. And finally check out the AFR if you ever doubted how good Emerald is. The car feels really lively but on damp roads and with suspension settings all over the place I didnt feel confident to push it.Also this was the first run in six years on the road. Its now an NA manual. last time it was driven in anger it was a TT auto and it ended up in a lampost. I didnt want a rerun of Yaseens accident. Here are a few pics of the day in progress along with the obligatory "graph" Now...... Where did I put that high compression forged engine??????? 10. very similar damage to my car had when I first got it. NOT minor
  11. I would check the speed sensor in the gearbox first. Your instrument cluster etc will probably be unique in this country... so inexperienced dabbling with it is not reccomended. IMO
  12. No. I dont think it does. 8bit/16bit or summat different. LOL!
  13. LOL!!! This is just another area where the two opposing sides are never going to agree. Bit like Auto/manwell Targas/slicktops etc etc And someone said we had no banter???????
  14. And while i respect Richards view on this issue I have the completely opposite view. I dislike aircon. I always remove it from a Z32 and I dont use it on my daily driver even tho its fitted. so as always its a waste of time asking for views on any forum cos you will never get the same answer from everyone:laugh: So.... Your car-Your call:punk:
  15. More Progress. Last weekend my pal Steve managed to come to my place and we spent an hour driving up and down the bypass with him sitting in the passenger seat with his laptop and getting the Emerald ECU running close enough for the longish drive to Watton for a full mapping session at Emerald HQ. This is now booked for Jul 3rd. I have also transferred my JIB 760 plate on to the car now. How exciting is that:lol:
  16. same here. HIDs fitted. No comments. I took a few tools so I could set the beam 100% on the test ramps!
  17. Ferodo DS2500 and DS3000 are NOT budget pads They are some of the best Race pads going.
  18. I have had the engine management light "on" on my diesel Vectra for months. The car runs spot on . Passed its MOT and emissions and returned 51mpg on my 600mile trip to Knockhill n back
  19. Well Thats good isnt it.:thumbup1: However I have just had a count up ...... In the time I have been building this car I have cut up NINE more cars:blink::blink: So the odds on a car surviving a trip to my place arent good really:no::no:
  20. Well opinions are going to differ on this subject. The stock filter box is OK but a bit restrictive. IMO K + N filters are very good quality so will be fine in the stock box. I believe that a nice big cone filter with a proper venturi inside is the best option for better breathing and to that end I have a Stillen set up that uses a big K+ N filter. Lots of people on here use the little Apoxi Filter but I dont rate it personally
  21. Yep! As far as I know. i always run after market filters tho with the box removed.
  22. Doesnt look like I will have a good enough running car for tomorrow:rant: Ceejay / Chris has my pass if anyone needs it.. JAE maybe?? Really need to get the car over to Emerald for some mapping first.
  23. Wrong guy lee. this is Yaseen from leicester. Yassa was someone else:blink:
  24. Its a Fairlady Mat holder.
  25. Hey Yas!!! Glad you looked in All is good with me. Drop in if you are this way Have you still got my number???
