Have done the "Manx Rally" several times in the seventies! Always loved the Mountain stage. My parents (when they were alive) lived in Ramsey, so Im pretty familiar with The Island. Hmm Tempted. Trouble is BOTH daughters will want to come too! Many many happy memories. All of course tinged now wth a little sadness. Dad would have been there for sure.

Although Im not sure of the relevance of the perceived lack of high speed stability to this country where doing in excess of 100mph will get you put in jail. I regularly touch 100mph just after the finish line at Santa Pod and then slow down without any drama to exit the track. Doing 136mph at Bruntingthorpe was OK too. But I wouldnt reccomend trying it on any British motorway. If you have a need to carry more than one passenger then obviosly you need that 2+2 capacity. If not then once you have driven a 2 seater you wont want to go back to driving "family saloon 2+2s" again. :) Free test drive of mine available to back up my opinion.(VALID INSURANCE REQUIRED AND ME IN PASSENGER SEAT) :x:

Dave , are you using the circuit at Jurby???? How much is it going to be for a non Mazda club person(for the circuit) I know you have to do your own feryy and accomodation.

I agree. But £9500 is still a lot of money to pay for someone elses creation not your own. It might be hard to find a buyer who agrees exactly with chris's spec/ideas. There is a lot of shiny stuff on this car but there is still a lot of standard car too. Stock engine Stock turbos Stock gbox and drive train. No adjustable tie rods and no adjustable top arms to go with the coil overs. So only "partially adjustable" suspension. Quoting the ad..."over £30K has gone into this car..." Where???

all the ebay sellers say that... Its all boll*X too. They DONT fit without mods. You need to trial fit and remove then flatten slightly to get the steering column to clear. Even the Stillen ones I believe. Also some of the ebay ones have the RH Lambda sensor placed where it too fouls the column. So the boss needs to be relocated. Trial and error on - off car. But at that price. Well what a bargain. i had a "mate with his own workshop fit mine. Good job I was only paying "mates rates"!!!!! HTH.

Just out of intesest..... Have you sourced some correct RHD fitment manifolds or are you asking someone to fit LHD, US spec ones from Stillen or off Ebay??? If you are trying to do it with LHD ones then the £500 might be nearer the mark as they will have to be fitted and removed a dozen times till they are hammered/welded into place. Also dont forget the danger of a broken stud (or more). This will push up the price too.

Ive just found an easier way to drain this box...... drill a hole in the pan. Can weld it up later or put a self tapper in it..
