  1. LOL! One phone call and whoosh!!! Melted credit card AGAIN. Seriously there are alternative sources to Mike but none IMHO are significantly cheaper and nobody gives better service or advice. Of course I could be accused of some bias here as Ive known him for 10 years or so. But I still buy regularly off him. Not all the (former) Traders on here are that reliable. Several have just disappeared... without trace!!!!
  2. Does the electric window relay situated in the drivers door control BOTH windows?? I think so but can anone confirm??? Pleeze! Pete
  3. Why dont you give Mike a ring at MJP tomorrow. He will have all you need and can explain differences in stock and urethane bushes along with costs. Ideal scenario is remove rear frame and do the lot in one go. But I hear you on costs. Mike problably has the hicas stuff in stock.Maybe shocks too.
  4. No it wont be too expensive. Worst case scenario new slave cyl and reseal the M cyl. Ideal time to add in a braided clutch hose. Or you could be really lucky as Cybernet suggests and get away with bleeding it. My concern here is... If it was OK and suddenly isnt even air in the system means the seals are gone or about to go completely Anyway Worst case scenario is a parts bill of less than £100. Now go to bed and dont forget to brush your teeth!!!!
  5. Clutch is hydraulic operated. Leaking slave cyl or master cyl is probably the cause. You might also need check the "free play" adjustment. But happening suddenly points to hydraulic failure. HTH
  6. And you think mine isnt!!! LOL I did however spot a little fuel pipe/rail with them on earlier. It is them two little black round cannisters??? Yes???
  7. Im sure Kirbz will be along to answer you soon but if he hasnt got them now then I have s/h ones off an NA available. If it is new you want and Kirbz hasnt got them then the original reply re Mike at MJP still applies.
  8. If you want something fairly cheap and stainless I have a full cat back Powerflow Stainless system. The pipes are a bit scabby due to the low grade stainless that powerflow use but the price reflects this. Its got 6x4 oval tips tho not twins.Tail pipes and back boxes have polished up nicely. £120 collected. You are not subscribed so you cant PM me so just call me if you are interested. 07778 411568 or 01773 761238.
  9. Would also be good to restrict it to cars that are ACTUALLY BREAKING. Not get it all clogged up with these "Well Im THINKING of breaking... maybe... maybe not... etc! Who is going to buy summat IF I Actually do it... errr ... anyone.. no ... I THINK I might keep it now... " type of posts.
  10. cheers guys, pete, whats the hot spanner technique?
  11. Use the hot spanner technique.
  12. Woo Hoo!!! Passes arreived today! Thanks!
  13. Well here is a view. I have two investment properties and Im financially sound. IF I was to think of selling one of them and the advertized price was 176500.00 then that would be my way of telling prospective buyers that I was going to accept 175000.00.and no less! Maybe a more pressured seller might take less, who knows.
  14. Dont forget to check the "nyon bag" filter on the fuel pump pick up. That will block before the engine bay one does.
  15. I think you just need to replace the auto box sub loom with the corresponding sub loom from the manual donor. But someone better qualified than me will no doubt be along soon to set the record straight.
  16. The sills are FOUR layers of metal. When you had the OUTER cover sill repaired that still left three other metal layers of original car left. It now sounds like a lot of this has corroded and more besides. As you say its impossoble to tell without seeing the car but IMO that list of corrosion (and its quite specific) will mean many many hours of painstaking fabrication of parts the Mike doesnt sell and probably cant be bought from Nissan either. I have done similar work on an earlier Zed. Its tedious and if you cant weld n fabricete yourself you will have a huge bill on your hands. Im plucking figures outta da air a bit but £400 per side PlUS the other brake work???? Also IMHO re routing brake pipes below the subframe is not a good idea as they may well be exposed to damage etc and fail again. The subframe may well have to be dropped anyway to make proper repair to the shell mounting points?? Anyone else got an opinion. Im only an amateur "bodger" not a pro!!!
  17. Yes they Maxsunny to YOUR car(Series 1). But looking at Joely P s car its K reg. Series2??? Dave specifically says Seies 1 only on his website. Top bloke.... well top LITTLE bloke really
  18. Dunno! Ill count them on the day. I never believe anyone is coming till I see them in the fire up road. My usual few mates from Z Club will be there. Hardly anyone from 300Zx co Uk ever shows up.
  19. Sorry Ed , Im off to da Pod on Sunday. Its the next round of the Z Club Drag Challenge.
  20. You MUST get a reading on the back two also. They are the cylinders most likely to have problems (Im not saying there are any) Wide open throttle and do them all at the same time. I would be looking for 150 ish at least. No increase on a wet test might indicate valve seat wear as the culpret.
  21. J-Tuner Thrash pics Hi Peeps, Now the feature's in the shops (and looking good! ) where do you want the CD of hi-res pics sent to?
  22. Revs required depend on which track you are running, how its prepared, ambient temp etc. Car factors also affect launch revs. What tyres, how much RWP you have. What clutch you have etc. The size of your wallet is also an important consideration. Sun 13 Aug is round 5 of the Z Club Drag Challenge. A few of us will be there.Come along for some free advice n fun Here is an example. Three weeks ago at da Pod on a Pro Track with virtually perfect weather conditions I was launching visciously at 5500 revs and dumping the clutch and I was still dropping revs a touch. :( On a poorer track with only road tyres I might find 3500 was plenty. Like many things in life it looks easy but it aint. Two and a half years after starting 1/4 mile runs and I still dont always get it right.
  23. Another "family saloon owner" methinks!!! :x: :x:
  24. ME????? NEVER!!!!! :wack: Come on then David. Tell me one more time....(Baby) Why should I buy a 2+2?????
