  1. LOL!!! whaddya mean "could work"..........:nono::rant::rant: IT WILL WORK.... trust me:bow: :rofl::rofl:
  2. No mate. no decals!! I dont have any sponsors I just go to Santa Pod for fun. Its just part of my hobby.
  3. The 300ZX club, which means the collective voice of all the Paid up members does not officially support ANY garage, whether or not they claim to be specialists in our cars. It doesnt support any Nissan dealers either. So anyone who claims this to be the case is wrong.;)
  4. well I found this pic ... Not exactly what Im doing but it gives the overall "look"
  5. Ultimate weight saving is with the brown cardboard tube(CF) Just depends on the size of yer wallet;)
  6. Easier on a ramp than on the deck. Basically a simple but tedious job. Exhausts need to come off first to gain access. If your cats/decats have not been off recently that can be a PITA. Be carefull not to shear any studs on the manifolds! The rest is simple spanner work. HTH
  7. I have a target weight of 1250kg for this car so its being put together with essentials only. The external appearance is not too important to me, but I did want something different to stock colours. There is nothing inside to look at either as it is all satin black on metal. Just leaving the stock dash and instrument panel as they are pretty light, but I may add a couple of extra gauges. Oil press and water temp. I already have an all in one heater blower in place. It just needs plumbing in.
  8. Well I dont do bodykits :D. Its just extra weight:slap:
  9. Here is the first panel with the bottom half colour done. It doesnt have a name only a number C3-39 in the Max Meyer list. Its not stock tho as we have omitted some of the blue tinter so it has a warm glow to it. Its a Schwartz series colour and is similar to BMW Diamante schwartz but not quite as black. Anyway I like it and I think it sets off the Asbo orange well. It will be next month before any more gets done as I have to go on holiday:nana2::duffer:
  10. Indeed!! I think I have passed that point now myself. In the real world spending £5K on an engine to go in a car worth £2K would put you in the looney bin. But this isnt the real world is it?? :nono:Its the world of Zeds  Anyway I dont wanna think about this any more. Its got out of hand:wack:
  11. If you bodge it with plastic filler and it works then great.................... however if it doesnt you will potentially wreck the clutch and g.box input shaft
  12. With Kev n Bev on it????? Chavtastic!!
  13. No mate. Just today. TBH I get bored with static shows quickly as there is nothing going on. one day is enough. i didnt meet anyone new but I already know loadsa people anyway. In fact I didnt even speak to all those I already know.:x: Business usually comes first tho and if some of todays discussions turn in to reality then 2009 could be a busy year:)
  14. Yep a nice day out for me too and not very far to travel. A good turnout right across the range from 240Z to 350Z. at one time there were 4 Slicktops parked almost together.
  15. IMO. You wont be able to machine anything with the crank in the engine because you wont get it centred properly. The whole area looks fcukd to me anyway. I would just scrap the crank if it were in my engine and start again with another crank..
  16. Nope! There is no blue tinge in it cos I took out 50% of the blue. Anyway... just wait a few more days:slap:
  17. Ok.... Its C3-39. Only 70G blue tint.:) But its not blue:tongue:
  18. IMO... total waste of time. Mainly filled with crap for 1937 Austins and 1942 Jags etc Oh ...lots of olde worlde Castol Oil signs too. Populated by toffs in green wellies and Deerstalker hats. Avoid:xxx:
  19. Keighley!! The black hole of 300ZX sales. Hmmm! Also just note its been here for 10 years. Could well be pretty rusty now. I would pass on this one.
  20. Errr?? Im totally confused????I must have missed summat, maybe I nodded off.;) Who is doing what and are they doing with it???
  21. Its not black:tongue: I should have some pics next week of some lower panels. You are pretty close! LOL
  22. Bin the fookin alarm:smash:
  23. :nono::nono::nono: Way to bright....for me anyway:)
  24. Managed to complete the tailgate today. after welding up the spoiler holes and wiper motor one. Lots of filling and priming. This time it felt easier to get that pearl on evenly but the whole job went a bit wrong at the laquer stage with the appearance of the dreaded "fish eyes":rant::rant: Now I will need to flat it all back and re do the lacquer:headvswal after Zedfest I reckon
