  2. Err No.Its not £350 is quite a lot of money. i have bought whole cars for not a lot more;) Its a good idea to see if you could make a saving on that.
  3. Well the list price from Mongoose is £558. So Lukes price seems good to me. I paid more then £350 for a SWB system from Blueflame over three years ago
  4. Ok so you have a spark. thats good But you need two more things to make a cylinder fire. Petrol and compression. You need to test for a correct injector electical signal. Noid light is a simple way for simple folks like me who dont have a Conzult and who couldnt operate it if I had one:cry: The fact that an injector "clicks" doesnt mean that its working properly. As I found out recently on a VG engine;) And what about "compression"??? Have you got enough compression for the thing to run cleanly. Have you done a compression test???? IMHO (and its very humble) you need to check out these basics before running off buying bits like plugs that you may not really need
  5. What connector is broken??? Have you replaced it cos until you do it will missfire. Have you tested the injector signal with a noid light??? You state "All the injectors are working" How do you know that??? Have you bench tested them on a flow tester???
  6. thanks for the informative reply ianl. It will most likely work in my Ver S Slicktop. however Groover has made me an offer I cant refuse(ie money!!) and since I am not into bling electrics It will be heading his way.
  7. thanks for that. I might give it a try just to see what happens........ Or I might just sell it.:) Maybe somebody might want to put an LED up its chuff:eek:
  8. Is that just on the drivers side Graham????
  9. Cos the bottom rad hose is 9 metres long and snakes all the way across the lower part of the rad clipping on to the crossmember.:D
  10. Thanks!! thats exciting eh?? Well I think these ones I have are Ser 2. Is there any way to tell??? Will they light up in my 95 slicktop???
  11. Were they illuminated in Series 2 cars????
  12. OK then. I wont.
  13. Oh Dear!!! Its dry in Nottingham:dance: You could always bring it down here:x: :D:D:D
  14. glad it all worked out OK for you:cool:
  15. Usually a great show. i have a ticket for Thursday 8th. Less people!!!
  16. Holidays in the UK?????:smash: Not unless the weather here suddenly transforms itself to " Costa del Sol" weather. Cost isnt the main factor in my life. If it was i would be driving a 1.0l Micra:mac1:
  17. looks like a typical rusty UK boring white Auto TT that is nearing the end of its life. Boost problem???? Muhahaha...... What ?? as in NO BOOST:x: However if the interior is as good as he says then call it £350 ish What about the plate ?? what would you pay for it on a retention cert?? another £300 maybe. So there is £650 in it. There are some easy bits to remove to sell which might make it worth around £750 to buy. I wouldnt pay more . IMO
  18. Just paid today on Paypal. Peter Macdonald.
  19. Thank you guys for the kind words.:) Getting the stuff posted out to you is the easy part. Its getting the bloody stuff cleaned, stripped and chromed thats the hard part. Of course I dont do the actual final polish and chrome thats down to my long standing mate Bob who is a great bloke ... but is so busy that I have to wait ages for the stuff to be done. i do sometimes wonder if it is worth carrying on as I dont really sell that much and it isnt that profitable when I take time and fuel costs in to account. However some nice feedback like this thread does wonders to my ego....:wack: Merry Christmas Pete
  20. JUST BUY A SLICKTOP!!!!!!!:slap: :D:D:D:D:D
  21. Just buy it. Its "breaker money" . £500 for the manual conversion for starters You just cant lose.:D
