  1. It has to be done from underneath. There is no option. Prepare for a long tedious job. And watch out you dont snap any studs off on the heads or round off any nuts you need to remove..;) Egr stuff complicates the LHS. HTH:D
  2. £200- £250 IMO. Based on me selling a complete series 2 interior for £400 ie all seats and all Alcantara panels.
  3. Events - Scumrun 2009 PDF Print E-mail 2009 - ENTRIES ARE FULL - Only additional team members may register.....:o.
  4. The above are all ASKING prices. If they all sell at the asking price then that might be encouraging. Something tells me that wont happen anytime soon:nono:
  5. WTF are you on about?????:mac1: Its Fathers Day in June:tongue:
  6. Maybe this is stating the obvious but..... bucket seats are not like normal car seats. They fit much tighter and do restrict your movement. Its just a case of going and sitting in a selection till you find one that suits you personally and is fit for the purpose you are using the car for. People like Carlos Sainz are currently sitting in theirs for two weeks on the Dakar so I guess they are comfortable in them. I help a friend of mine build rally cars. His current client from Tanzania has just been over to "approve" the seat in his new car and do a final fitting. Take your time and look around. Its essential to try before you buy. And as stated already that old school Huntmaster will be a nightmare with a harness. Sorry to go on.. Pete
  7. Thats a plus point not a disadvantage:)
  8. Exactly. Wise words from a man who knows. I too have driven both (in NA form) the Slicktop is not for everybody but I wouldnt consider anything else.
  9. Yep they will.Been there ... done that I scrapped the seat and bought a Cobra monaco which has the harness slots. The other issue is the belt doesnt fit you properly and unless you have a slot behind you in the seat back there is a real danger of it coming off as you are driving:o IMO I wouldnt bother.
  10. Thank goodness for that:bow: I wouldnt be seen dead in it personally:hurl: What a useless bit of crap:rolleyes:
  11. But you arent ordering one . And its not going on your car.:smash: And it makes no difference at all to the look of the car.:nono: And it costs more money. All IMHO of course.;) :D:D
  12. Yep there is a big box on its way.... And one little one too that I couldnt fit in!!!
  13. Just save the money for yer manwell conversion:slap: :rofl:
  14. TBH I have used "Helicoils" in the past to good effect as well.
  15. I would re tap to the next size up.... Carefully!!
  16. IMO it doesnt really matter what club(or clubs) you belong to or where you park. Billing has always been about having a good time with as many Zeds of all types as possible. i know the final couple of years of JAE at Billing kind of lost that feeling but that was down to the huge amount of other random clubs attending and the appearance of a noisier yob element( not neccessarily car club members). Z008 did hark back to those earlier pleasant years at Billing and Im sure Z009 will build on that. Its a good idea to leave egos and personality clashes at home for the weekend and focus on enjoyment AND raising some money for charity.;)
  17. Yep its a 3 stage process. White base coat Pearl on top of the white. And finally clear laquer over the pearl. You need to very very careful doing this as the final colour is determined by the number of coats of pearl you use.
  18. As far as I can see from the limited pics it suffers from a couple of major structural failings. Quality of bends and welding is nothing outstanding. They "reckon it weighs about 90 lbs."....That means it was built in the car on an ad hoc basis without designing it and cutting it all first. they just kept adding bars wherever they could. Given that retention of the original shell is still required for what he is doing there are way to many bars in there. Nascar Racers and Silhoutte drag cars have less steel than that without all the original floor pans And then he says they will add the engine bay stuff later!!! Its all supposed to be thought thru and designed and installed at one go. Here is a "Safari spec Porche " with a cage built by one of the UKs leading cage specialists who has worked for several of the the leading WRC teams. Clean. Simple and strong. And in T45 alloy steel
  19. well no not really!:nono: Taff has aleardy said he doesnt want one. AND its in Ameruica... Land of extreme bad taste:wack: So lets just leave it at that................................................ Muhahahaha... WTF... what an idiot idea:rant::rant::rant::rant: etc etc:hurl::hurl: :rofl:
  20. What running issues???? Who told you its all down to the exhaust?? A fully skilled person who has done a thorough examination of your car and checked every other component that could cause poor running??? You need headers??? Has your car got stock Nissan headers or aftermarket headers fitted??? Assuming they are cracked do you want to replace them with stock manifolds or more tubular headers. Have you already got proper decat pipes fitted??? Or stock pipes?? Prices.... New tubular headers. £100 to £120 s/h stock NA maniflolds cheap New S Steel decat pipes £140 s/h around £100 S Steel exhaust new... around £350 to £400 Second hand??? Join the queue ... there are already 2 wanted adverts at the moment.
  21. They are rare....BUT rare doesnt always equal desirable. For example a good rust free Austin Maxi is a rare car but is sadly lacking in desirability. To you and me as Slicktop owners they are the best thing out there but as far as selling prices are concerned they aren't worth any more than their more common mates with greenhouse roofs.:nono:
  22. i have seen Scorpion back boxes and they were very nice. At one time All Scorpion stuff was made right here in Langley Mill/Ripley Notts but then most of the production was moved to Eastern europe. So now I dont know about quality.
  23. And from me too... One last smilie....or two!!:rofl::rofl:
  24. Si you would say anything to incease your post count. You even have opinions on "opinions". I knew you would take the bait..... anyway Back on topic. that Mongoose from Luke IS a good price and Luke is probably desperate to sell it :rofl:so just buy it Dave. It is a well made bit of kit normally And Soz for Hijacking the thread Daveb......but its always good to wind up Si;) BTW I will post the aeriel Monday.. it was cheap as chips.. LOL:tongue:
