Rust free.
Sadly that looks like it . I have no space to keep it and Im not interested in 2+2s anyway. every square inch was like new. the laugh is that I have cut off the arches/sill closers and the front lower support panel and someone will buy them to weld on to their UK shell:) I just need to drill out a few spot welds and.. voila... a set of arch and sill repair panels will appear!:)

What to do? advice & wisdom please!
but it clearly doesnt!! My opinion is that this is about the price you might get. Stockish cars dont make good breakers . UK cars have significant rust in lots of places. 150000 mile engines arent much of a seller. Lots of parts will be tired/worn etc.

rear uk spec standard rims vs jap rears
Nissan specced the "European cars" to have 8.5" wide wheels and 245/45-16 tyres to cope with the anticipated sustained high speed driving on Autobahns and Motorways in contast to use in Japan where lower speed urban/suburban driving was envisaged. The increase in contact area is 8.8%. Whether this is significant or not is not for me to say. A corresponding power increase would be 25bhp. From an insurance point of view it colud be argued that running a 225 section tyre on a UK car would effectively be using a "sub standard tyre"

Chrome front lights
Makes no difference to the light output(or lack of output!) You need to install HID system to help with that.

another cyprus buyer
Im very keen on overseas buyers... i have sold parts to most countries in europe over the past few years. Lots to France. I have several regular customers there, Spain,Finland, Denmark, Austria and Portugal. Why do you think its a scam?? They drive on the left like us ... so we are a natural source of cars. Iguanapeluda came from spain to buy his 300ZX here!! Im not saying it isnt a scam mail but why do you think it is??? Its simple to check out. Ask for an address and a landline phone number. Why is everyone so negative about anyone who doesnt live in Britain. In my experience there are more time wasters here in the UK ... many of whom appear on this forum:rolleyes:

What to do with Perfect Rust Free Shell??
I am almost finished picking bits off Keith 5700s ex v8 shell. So far I havent found a single square inch of rust. Evevything underneath is like new and Keith spent hours waxoyling everything. Its of no use to me and soon it needs to go. Sooo I was just wondering tonight if there would be any response when I put an advert up.??? I dont care what happens to it . i have several easy options to get rid. Just one quick phone call will bring my mate with his HI-AB truck and off it goes. No work required by me. I could load it on a trailer and weigh it in as clean(green) steel locally. Bit of effort but I will get fair cash price(prices are still low but on the increase) Or maybe someone might want the shell for a project car/repair a write off etc???? So what do you guys n gals think??? Its interestng to compare it to the 240Z rolling shell I have waiting to be built up to a complete car next year. I was recently offered £3000 for it "as is". I wonder if one day 300 ZX shells will be worth proper money?

gonna stop moaning
Irrespective of how good or bad the car is or what it is worth you have to bear in mind the fact that "write off" cars are "damaged goods" and this is a pemanent marker on the cars history. It matters not whether its an 07 plate Focus or a 20 year old 300ZX. The usual rule of thumb in the motor trade is 50% of the value of the same car without the marker. Info from senior salesman at a Main Dealer franchise that I am on very good terms with. A separate fact which is related is that many many potential buyers will run a mile as soon as they get that HPI report showing a car as a write off. A frequently unseen consequence of owning a write off is that later if you need to make a claim for whatever reason is the fact that your insurance will apply that 50% reduction to their valuation of the car. all the above will apply to your car Allan and any other similar write off car. I have never seen your car so I wouldnt know what its worth so i havent bothered to comment on value. Good luck on whatever you decide to do.
