Brake master cylinder bore measurement
Im pretty sure the larger one is the TT size. What is really interesting tho is the price!!! Nissan Mainstealer price is waaaay more If this kit works then its the bargain of the decade.

Who has the most powerful ZX in the UK?
They dont . And I agree they dont really count. Anyway I dont think we will see 780Z back on the forum anytime soon.:xxx:.........unless he comes back with a new name and a new ISp address:tongue: he was banned some time ago from Z Club.net:nono:

Who has the most powerful ZX in the UK?
??????? What do you mean come to a conclusion and we have a winner??? the car ran an 11.15 quarter. The late Gavin Balmer ran a 10.5 in his Z32. Mark watkins still runs 10 sec quarters in RatZ 780Z's car only has a "claimed" 550bhp(from the US) . He himself doubts the figure and reckons its more around 450 which certaily ISNT the most powerful Z in the UK. So It aint the fastest and it aint the most powerful...... game still on....:hyper:

A/C removal
All wight removal will free up power. there are several threads about with weight comparisons etc. On big power TTs its not as significant as say weight loss on a 1.4 Corsa.

Looks great.

A/C removal
Heater/blower continue to work fine. IMO. Aircon is a useless extra. Remove the fan and rad and pipes while you are there. I dont ever use aircon even in cars with it fitted. Others of course will come along and say its "essential";)

Best place to re-locate the knock sensor is...
It makes no sense at all. Just buy a new one AND a new harness. Fit and forget for the next 17 years.

Best place to re-locate the knock sensor is...
Thats Simple...... Dont move it anywhere. Leave it where Nissan designed it to be. It works perfectly.

First hole welded (sort of)
I dont want to seem negative but looking carefullly at your repair it seems to me that you are only about 50% welded. Looking from the back particularly there is a lack of weld penetration . Looking from the front there are substantial areas where you have no weld at all. If you are replacing a hole in a plain sheet of metal you need to have 100% continuous weld at full penetration to achieve the original strength and integrity of the panel. That work would IMO fail an MOT inspection.

The Extent of the damage.
That will be spot on.:) the point to note is at full reach it comes down to 500kg. thats Fine tho for doing the job.

New wheels are on
Well for starters you cant see what the new ones look like in any of the pics. Other than the fact that they are black. Doesnt really matter anyway as Rota drifts are everywhere on scruffy drift cars etc. Not even close to what you have removed:slap:

front brake calipers
Later cars had the Cast ones.

front brake calipers
Not without changing to TT discs tho.:smash:

Gearboxes
I think you will heve a problem with the starter motor. It will be too far off the NA ring gear on the NA flywheel.

Ups and Downs!
The usual trick is to lengthen it slightly. First step being to slip a nut in the end to see if it helps. Then lengthen rod with a few blobs of weld. i had to do this for my ACT Street N Strip cluthch to get the bite point just right!

What do you do for a living?
I'm a drug dealer.

NA diff...
None really. They are a viscous type LSD. Same as TT only a different ratio

De-Cats Advice
No need for all the debate. "Search" is your friend. Its why we have a FAQ section................................ Thread Tools Search this Thread Rate Thread Display Modes Old 3rd January 2004, 09:22 #1 Paul C Registered User Paul C's Avatar Join Date: Mar 2002 Feedback Score: 0 Location: Canterbury Posts: 7,707 Lightbulb MOT emissions test on a zed (cat test) asked many times when decatting, so heres the score: any vehicle registered from 1 august 1992 has to go through the MOT BET test (Basic Emission Test), the limits are: Fast Idle CO HC Lambda between 0.97 and 1.03 Idle test CO if the vehicle does not meet these figures (decatted vehicles may well NOT) the the test proceeds on to a more specific test. if the vehicle is between 1 aug 1992 & 31 july 1995 and an exact match is found in the Emission database, then a CAT test is done using the vehicle specific details However, the Z32 is NOT in the emissions database, this means a NON-CAT TEST is carried out using the same values as pre 92 cars Non Cat Test CO HC as long as everything is running ok then even De-Catted cars should pass this! if you're lucky enough to own a 1 Aug 1995 on Zed then a default Cat test will apply, which you will prob fail if you De-Cat!
