as above, i had this issue last two winters solved it now tho. the rubber shrinks in the cold weather and the line is springy enough to keep it sealed. soon as teh engine and the hoses are warm no problem. obviously when you turn the air on it pulls air into the cabin hence the smell. check the lines as said make sure your engine is cold this will give the best chance of spotting them. it may be a simple as a few turns of a screwdriver worth spending an hour or so throughly inspecting the lines. dont forget that one under the throttle cover as already said. its very common to leak and a little ******* :D

im really keen on that top white one. appeals to my stock with a twist, if it was just a bolt of lower part that would be the dogs..... :D did you ever do away with the lock hole on the rear groover? it kinda goes against your aim sat there. be nice to see your car when its done.

i spent 2k got ripped off and left with a zed than ran just about. then had to fork out another grand to a real garage to fix the fix

nope one is avaiable for the z31 but not z32. you can get an online manual but its not great.

see you all this afternoon:) weather is moving towards the east so we should see over cast conditions but very little if any rain fall so should dry up by the afternoon, from whats moved over this morning. according to the met office report.

i did notice a bleed nipple found some sandpaper and loose change aswel. no sign of that extension bar i dropped back there last year tho :(

what was the result of this?

ive had the boot trim out today and i found some bits, firstly a set of 6m hydrolic hoses going into a box under a rubber dome? something to do with the hicas? and a little black box on teh driovers side clipped into the tail light.

mines probally filled with cat puiss judging by the other nasties ive found over the last 18 months

yeh i had braided lines on my old car BIG difference, think il overhaul the calipers and change the fluid first doubt its ever been done. do the flexi lines at teh same time, then if thats still not as good as id like, then its gonna be a case of larger front discs. can anything be done for exapmle fitting the calipers from something newer like a 350 to the front then using the zeds standard fronts for the rears? obviously some adaaptor plates would need to occur.

i thought this was normal mine always idels about 1000 or so 900 when warm but sumtimes higher like 1100 seems to change here and there

ttand an early one at that. what is over hauling the calipers like?

brake set up is as it was and has 20 years wear and tear on it theyre not great. id like them to at least feel as good as a modern car. so whats the best way to go on a budjet

ah, ok well something is definatly on. check all your switches something silly like the electric seat buttons. maybe or an led internal light draining?

never had anyone ask what it is. had a few mercs etc try and race it and been left looking fairly stupid. i did see this guy a while ago that used to give me a hard time in school. i was out in the zed it was summer the ttops where off my mrs was looking good in the passenger seat should of seen his chav ass face! pricesless

ok i know you said the alternator is working fine but best to check to take it away 100% get it up and running and test the voltage. when fully charged and when running should be a littl;e higher cant rember the spefic numbers tho. 13.1 seems to stick in my head for running? i just put the multimeter across the terminals but i dont think tahts teh "correct" way

what sorta speed do you recon you where at impact. there surprisingly robust arnt they when they decide to kill themselves

maybe the battery has been too flat and needs a deep charge. had this a while ago left the window open and teh alrum drained the battery charged it up and drove to my gfs where it promptly went flat again stuck it ion charge for three days on my father in laws deep charge etc charger and never had a problem since. most places will check your battery for free worth a check.

*tip* turn off the over drive and engauge the power button and enjoy that until such a time you go manual :D
