  5. Right guys thsi is what ive sent off to them today to get the ball rolling, hopefully we can get a stand and discounted ticket prices. "hello there, it is the intention of the 300zx uk owners club to make an appearence to this event. we would hopefully be bringing a fair few cars, and some earlier and later model fairlady,z's. would it be possible to securce a club stand or group ticket price, on behalf of the club? i look forward to your response." fingers crossed we get something positive out of it.
  6. well at least they didnt book you, i spun out on some deaseil next toa bus stop and bent some bits whilst i was waiting for the rac the old bill came along moan at me i explained what had happened the box had dropped a gear i hit the oil and spun out quicker than quick. to which they replied if you want to contest it you can go to court and issued me a £60 fine and 3 points which have put my insurance up by about 200 a year atm. i pointed out the massive rubber mark where the car had rgained traction and he told me im lucky im not being booked for the other rear tyre because its borderline. common sense didnt tell him they were probally both borderline and taht rubber belonged to that trye. with gauges out of it across the width. not happy. 2 years to go nopw till i have a clean license again :(
  7. if there anything like the rac they will only tow it x amount of miles as a 2nd tow 20 25 miles if i remeber correctly. not very helpfull is it :(
  8. no it was a later 2.9 version of the colonge. well if its headgasket you will find that most liklly the oil and water have mixed. try turning the block by hand with the plugs out and listen. you should hear and feel each cylnder, free up and loosen. if thats all smooth id say unlikly internal damage. you can always pop a little stick of some kind down the plug hole see if it comes back covered in oil. obviopusly check the filler cap, for smeg. if youve blown a piston out the block your gonna see it from underneath witha torch should be pretty obvious. if you start it up and makes a bnois what sort of sound does it make? what does the oil pressure do? what is the oil level? i would guess you have probally snapped a rod. or its slipped a tooth on the timing. im sure one of the techies will point you in the right way ... oh well see it as n opertunity whatever the result.
  9. well if his attention to detail on his car is as good as his attebntion to detail in this advert... well it speaks volumes.
  10. whats the deal with the twin z one? will something simular be avaiable from yourself? or is it just a modification of the standard bumber?
  11. yup been there done that lol spun out and the passengerside rear ate the curb new upper and lower wishbone and the rest shock and wheel, and some banging and bending and welding. alls fine

  13. it behaves fine i spose just wanted to know if its normal. if i lock it in 2nd and plant it it goes warp speed. and the same if im rolling and slowly depress teh accelerator but if i dump it from 2k revs in say third shit all happens for a fair while
  14. dont think so too busy looking athe road to look for an orange light lol
  15. haha yeh thought that might be the response yeh its topped up behaves fine, just doesnt feel like the powers going down at times and on hard acceration it hits the limiter afew times before changing up.
  16. yeh like it will go to change from say second to third and hit the rev limiter. or sometimes i put my foot down and the powers coming from the engine but doesnt seem to be reaching the wheels.
