went for a cruise today from ringwood to cadnam and then tooka really backwards way home through the forest. lovely day. then at beauli three "motyorcyclists" term used lighty where in front of me. i use th term lightly as they were about 17 and on those bikes taht look like real bikes but its actually a a little 50 or 125 fart machine. anyways the l plates are off and theyre riding 3 a brest. winding in amoungst eachother and talking doing about 50 or so, its a 40 limit thats nota real problem except theres ponies and stuff everywhere its the forest you know, pay attention. anyways theyre riding like dicks. you can get the picture you dont really wanna be behind them but you know if you over take, there will be an accident as they wionder over the line etc, there all over the place. so im just holding back where discussing them and saying how one of them is gonna cause an accident in a minute. a big sweeping bend arrives and they all go round except the third one back panics half way through the corner and sits up straight, corse this causes him to "understeer in effect but obviouslty not" straight past the oncomming traffic, lucky boy didnt get hit by the merc. congrats mr merc for being awake. and ditches it in the heather at about 40mph. looks like hes ok at a quick glance mostly dented ego. his friend seeing this slams on his brakes and ibnstead of pulling over sits in the middle of the road, causing me to take avaise action 3/4s of the way through the corner. that was a seriously hairy split second. thankgod i was paying attention and not sat up there arse. the one at the front hasnt noticed yet and about 300 metres down the road stops at the side of the road to see where theyve gone. i explain to him in polite four letters words what i think of them and where his mate is. whilst im pulled over with my foot on the brake, staionary at the side of the road. at which point a woman in a clio is seen in my rear veiw mirror sliding towards me as shes not seen the car parked at the side of the road witgh its brake lights on., and just stops short. i pull away and shes behind me, i expected a sorry my falut wave or a im not gonna admit i wasnt iusing my eyes and give you a ****er sign but nothing. she just carried on as normal..... crazy bitch! so about 30 secs of crazy driving. was all very peacefull up until that! i did however enjoy rolling along side a ferarri california summin or other... and an about 2 hours after the fun, watching a guy who desperatly wanted to overtake me in his picasso screeching around in my rear veiw mirror as i gently wafted through some twisty b road. was actually funny. he was persistent tho bless. overall though lovely sunny day lovely sceenry and really enjoyed using my car for what i brought it for.:thumbup1:

thats cheap tbh a professional company that isnt your mate woyuld probally charge you double....

i need to pull my plenum and do my rocker cover gaskets etc at some point soon.... when i find time. how much should i expect to pay out for parts? and how much would you expect for a garage to do the work...? id like to do it myself but cba to bust a gut to save a few quid. was also thinking about a 60 or 120 thousand mile service kits. any one got any ideas price wise to this aswel?

well seeings as the mk 2/3 are essentally the same chasis. in fact there is no such thing as mk3s. its simply a facelifted mk2 :D however yeh that would be a mk 3 with a mk2 grill and bumper with a half x pack...

the isle of wight yup that one i know its not very big and i know its an expensive crossing but i see it everyday and ive never been there. just wonder if its worth hoofing teh zed over there and charging down that coastal road round the island? or is it full of 40 limits speed traps and bumps and other hatefull driving spoilers
