  1. Gotta agree with Julia it is a bit nerdy, but there’s nothing wrong with that. Nerd is very on trend these days... let’s face it we’re all bloody Nissan nerds to a lesser or greater extent, we spend too much time and money on old cars to be normal.
  2. Good to know, he was a good guy and I liked that little car.
  3. Steams evaporated as well.
  4. What about madmarco and dazvert. Both vanished.
  5. Welcome, looking forward to seeing it about!
  6. Takes two minutes to switch stock bulbs in. Get certificate and refit.
  7. Turn key, that’s a place in Devon ain’t it? But behave, more is always more. You know that!
  8. I dont think they work well with the smooth boot lid lump thing. Too many straight lines where as the stock options create an oval effect of the rear light panels.
  9. Dark rear panel, significant improvement
  10. Cams are a relatively uncommon mod on these engines, generally people will just use more boost and encourage other external breathing mods. Maybe ported heads. Larger valves, extra displacement and cams are generally not included in most peoples builds as you can achieve strong power without resorting to such expense. It’s not like tuning an NA.
  11. I don’t know, I’ve not done it to a VG. The engine I did it too had a wild cam profile and idled like a bag of crap. But from what I understand your cams aren’t that wild. I wouldn’t of thought idle stability will be that much effected, if you care about that are you doing the right modification? I don’t really understand what you want.
  12. What exactly are you confused about? If you’ve got the adjustable cams you need to move them to achieve an advance or retardation of the cam. There will be graduations on the gear. Personally I’d leave the upper cam covers off set it to zero and let your tuner set the timing during the process, guessing you want 2 degrees is useless.
  13. Burn the money on VXR8 parts, don’t start another zed project. You don’t actually like them.
  14. This is an issue I have too. Think I might just cut the boot floor out, replace it with a sheet of Ali and a rally style spare post.
  15. No I needed an additional one for the manual conversion. Came of a primera I think.
  16. I robbed mine off a newer Nissan at the car graveyard.
  17. No need to apologise Si, our cars are very different in thier functionality and aims. Slight discomfort at times and noise/vibration transfer are pretty low down for someone with no stereo.
  18. I thought that’s why you swapped them for the Rose Jointed type... still not goods enough? When mine was modestly lowered on the Bilsteins I had stock arms without and mods and camber certainly wasn’t excessive. I couldn’t do that now, I set the adjustable ones to same length as the stock arms to give me a starting point. The rear in particular was a joke, I went from virtually no camber and a 10mm, arch to tyre gap on the horizontal to a gap I could virtually fit my fist in!
  19. Why you getting rid of them Si?
  20. Was that seriously 1.5 years ago? Well done, feels good to getting close I bet?
  21. Treat yourself, I have these and have had them for many years. https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/draper-40-piece-tx-star-hexagon-and-xzn-mechan/
