Tell me about it. One of those days as well, everything was 10 tines harder than it should of been, it took me ages to get the starter motor off. By this time tomorrow hopefully il be a load further forward. I can see me having to remove the turbo in situee at this rate though. Thank god I didn't bend all the tabs on the exhaust gasket back over.

So I've had a pesky oil leak for some time now, it's got to be dealt with. Sadly it's in just about the worst place possible, the oil filter tree. So today I started, I've learnt a few things already. It's damn near impossible to remove the top bolt of the starter motor without a 1/2" UJ, I say damn near, I did manage it. Next up the top two down pipe bolts also require a 1/2" UJ (guess what I'm off to halfords for tomorrow afternoon) In summary, the actuator arm completly blocks the top bolts of the filter tree, and the bolts to remove the actuator are also in a PITA location, hopefully removing the water pipe will allow access. Found this worrying oil deposit though...I immedidately thought turbo failure, however I seem to remember that the turbo can't leak like that. So I assume it's from the other leak, but I dunno....

You can get them from the states

It can take a while to warm up its a big engine compared to most modern engines. Once upto temperature it should sit half way, when off or cold you should be able to see two tiny white dots at the 9 o'clock position, should be covering them. The stock gauge is crap though, it tends to have three readings, cold, correct and overheating.

And a t-piece, the line to the sender for the stock gauge is a good place to take off.

They print what sells, regardless of accuracy. Look at the recent story with the missing aircraft...gone quiet now that people arn't interested. I do like to read the papers and watch the news, however I do dislike the media. They are simply a bunch of scaremongering, money grabbing vultures. Don't get me wrong freedom of the press can be positive. However the majority of it is more cash focused than liberational. look at the way things went with Diana, or Millie downer. Do you really think that the expense scandal was stumbled upon and exposed for justice? More likely some one stopped signing cheques for hush money, or an interested third party made a better offer for the story. The media is a tool of politics and power, ie money. When a large proportion of the media is funded by or friendly with the fat cats it's ability to present real news, accurately is greatly reduced. Hence why we get stories about businesses front page and the graphic and tragic stories pushed to the back. This is a democratic country, democracy means when the rich people make the rules up. Now where's my tinfoil hat.

There's a lot of peaches geldoff business on the papers front pages today. Money makes the world go round, unfortunately. Manchester United is a global brand, I recently heard about a TV provider moaning about their lack of success costing them international business. They even had to hold off about the announcement due to the stock market.

Defiantly shield your air filter. Being exposed to rain like that will cause malfunction and sooner or later failure.
