Ten Of The Best 300ZX V GTO Competition
What do you think is causing you problems with your quarter times bob? The cars looking very good and I'm glad to hear it had a more complete time than last year, there were mechanical issues were there not?

Noob after some advice! new car
Doesn't sound overly positive, head gasket failure is not a common fault with these but with some of these cars having many many miles on them and being as much as 25 years old anything is possible. Equally with recent money spent on cooling, (trying to fix an overheating issue?) and the design of the engine(cast iron block with aluminium heads) the risk of warped heads because of an overheat may be a culprit. It also might be nothing more sinister than condensation, however your mention of blue smoke makes me think otherwise. If your serious about this car, then be prepared to spend about £1500 on a new block and turbos. Sounds like there is a good chance you will need them. £500 is extremely cheap, the going rate for a good condition twin turbo is between £3-4k now. Don't get me wrong, it could be a bargain it could as it seems be a basket case which could cost you some cash esp if your not mechanically minded. These cars arn't a cheap beater like a 200sx or an MX5. You need to think very carefully before jumping into that car about what your prepared/capable to do with it. Maybe a member might be willing to take a look with you, preform a compression test etc.

Ten Of The Best 300ZX V GTO Competition
I have a really bad habit when I'm tired like that of completely messing up my words, often it takes three attempts to get it out. My mrs always knows and wets herself when I get into this odd wrong name stutter as I ask for the lawn mover, no recorder, damn it remote! I don't even suffer from the noddies as such these days so much as little black outs, my eyes don't close it just goes flashes black, micro sleeps I think they call it. I do sympathise and it's incredible how much difference even an hours nap makes, takes a few days to feel 100% again though after a crazy week like that.

Planet of the fish
Lol, I live in a world where a pocket knife is a tool of life, it is also perfectly legal for me to carry a folding blade under 3". However I can be pulled into the police station and booked for the possession if an offensive weapon because in other parts of this country it's not a tool of life, it's simply a weapon.

Coolant hose, Boost hose, and egr delete. where to buy??
You can make the blanks for the EGR easy enough, it's the threaded but for the manifold that's a pain unless you do the fold and weld method to the tube.

Coolant hose, Boost hose, and egr delete. where to buy??
The coolant hoses, if you buy a few meters of the stuff, think it's 8-10mm something like that, you will be able to bypass the plenum water lines and replace the turbo coolant ones. That's all the same diameter. Any local motor factors will do it, I got a few meters of Goodrich stuff for pretty cheap. The water pipes for the heater matrix are worth doing. You should IMO fit new PCV hoses, getting the old ones on and off will likely result in damage and is a pain, if you have new you can just cut them off and make life easier. New ones particularly silicone will go one way easier. While your there check the condition of the EFI harness, my knock sensor loom broke so needed fixing in the process. Are you going to replace your rocker cover gaskets while your in there?

Classic car insurance without a garage
I have a second car, the zed does an annual mileage of about 1500, just went right through Lancaster which then explained they don't insure imports even though it was declared as a fairlady not a 300zx arghhhhh

Classic car insurance without a garage
Hi guys, due to circumstances of change my insurance renewal this year won't include the storage of my car in a garage. Footman James who I have been with for the last 3 years as far as I'm aware stipulate that as a condition of the policy. Do any classic car insurance companies offer a policy without a garage being used? Insuring it as a normal car will double the premium to £390!
