Rear coilovers..
You need to check it's tight. You shouldn't have any play on that centre one, it could be as simple as the bush it sits in it's dead, or it's loose.

Choosing a short shifter
As above, you don't want it need one. Everyone ends up pulling the damn things off and going back to stock.

Rear coilovers..
Varies, sometimes an o ring sometimes a paper gasket, depends on the manufacturer. Check for play however that's what alerted me to one of my bilstiens being duff, a clunk over bumps like something was rolling about loose in the boot.

Monumental cock-up, hugely pissed off - I might miss Coventry!! :(
They cant, CANT shift yours out because they over run. That simply isn't your problem, they have other cars coming in, they are behind simples they will have to delay the next car coming in by 24 hrs its their fault.

300zx prices
£8.5k!!!! It's pretty clean, not immaculate but clean. £6k maybe but 8 is very strong for a NA auto regardless of it's roof or lack of one.

Turbo Question
Out of interest has anyone found a good source of stock turbo cores? I know you can purchase them state side, but what about over here?

dangerous water temperatures
You can run a product through I believe to clear the galleries, running a hose through the block out to the drain constantly flushing helps liberate a fair bit if crap. Check your air con rad if you still have one, mine was filthy, there was even half a dead bird in there down in the corner, leaves etc etc, full of rubbish. That will not help the situation.

Not now arrrgghhh.... advice?
I would assume as well of you pop off the water pulley belt, you should be able to gauge the feel of the bearing from turning the thing by hand. Logically though if the belt is slipping that bad would it not be squealing as well? If it's more of a rubbing noise check the shroud, mine has made some horrific noises when the fan is catching the shroud. (Sorry Andrew I see you did already suggest the turn by hand)

The aircon compressor is still in situee with a belt I take it? It's probably seized if that's the case, cut the belt.

So last night....
Was that at Boscastle by any chance? I popped in there about 2 months ago

So last night....
In honesty I'd never read it, not because I'm not interested, I am, I just cannot sit and read a book. It's something I really struggle with, been that way for many years now. My mother is a firm believer in the supernatural and one of my best friends in a very devout Christian. It used to cause friction when I was younger and more pig headed, even as a small child I never took to the idea of heaven etc. As I've got older I've listened I've learnt, I actually attempted to read the New Testament at one stage so I could reply yes when asked, as mentioned though I cannot sit and read a book. I'm a big thinker it doesn't do much good, to the point of stages if depression really. With being an only child, perusing individual past times and working on my own 90% of the time I've had lots of time alone to think. Eventually i stopped thinking negatively and sort of found an odd peace in my conclusion. To put it simply I sat down for literally years did the maths, sat back and went, "no, to me that makes no sense" I'm always happy to discuss my thoughts but I won't often divulge them without prompting. I'm not one of those people that will sit there and tell you your wrong, it's your opinion and your life. It's people who say "this is what I believe so therefore it's correct" that I take a bit of gripe with. I'm trying to be honest here, as there is little point in anything else

Turbo Question
I realise 740s are crazy but that's what they seem to go with.

25th Anniversary meet - Action required
I just noticed I think I'm still dropping oil, slowly but its still happening from the turbo. After reading the download information I dunno if il have to park in the public carpark, I guess il hav eto check and see how/when it drops oil to see if I can get it in place. Annoying! defiantly still coming though. - - - Updated - - - Have you got a thread running on it?

dangerous water temperatures
Running an aftermarket rad without the shroud is like running a stock one with it, you loose the direction of the air it can pull from all directions rather than actually through the rad.
-
25th Anniversary meet - Action required
Is rather scattered showers or overcast condition than the 32c heat predicted tomorrow, too hot to be driving the zed.

Exactly that Andy, my dad did a series of photos years ago with long exposures, shaking his own hand (a fake clone) him stood in every window of house etc all done with wet film and long exposures. I'm a complete atheist personally, by that I don't believe is god, spurts or even the soul. I think 99.99% of things we "see" can be discounted as either tricks of the mind, it's possible for two people to conjure the same or similar enough illusions, esp once stressed and suggestable. Grief being a typically prevalent catalyst. The other is not seeing what you thought you saw, the power of suggestion etc. This is generally what happens with photos etc, we capture interference and jump to conclusions. The other 0.01% is the weird and the annomolyies, remember we arnt as smart as we think and our understanding of how our eyes interpret light reflections and communicate them via electrical impulses to the brain isn't complete. We see a very different world to say a bee. Light is much like a fingerprint leaving packets of information bouncing around, this is why a good portion of the stars in the sky are no longer in existence. It's complex stuff and the human eye is merely one particular method of biological camera, the camera does lie and so does the eye.
