  1. What's up with yours? Or did you just want the shell?
  2. It just struck a bell as I was reading about how someone had converted to a skyline R200 as the drive shafts etc where stronger than the 200 design but still gave you the NA z32 ratio more or less. Apparently the NA stuff was snapping on big launches.
  3. At least with google you get an answer, one that isn't in the form of an open ended question. However the "answer" may be a bit temperamental due to it being supplied by a sweaty teenager called Eric who's girlfriend looks suspiciously like the other one he cheated on her with the other day, miss L Palmer I believe was her name.
  4. Yeah seen it around then. You drive along the main road by my house quite regular.
  5. I seem to remember you use the key itself. Put it in the lock and pull or something like that. It's been a few years since I did that and I only stumbled on it by chance. I swear that's how it works but I may be wrong.
  6. 200sx one isn't it? Six bolt flange arranged in three pairs? R200 diff bit not like the one in a skyline which has a six bolted flange like a z32. That's my guess anyways.
  7. Give me till Saturday lol. I was ready to test fire Monday but couldn't find some hose I needed to complete. I'd finish it now but I'm sat in a brewers fayre on the M5, not going home tonight.
  8. I dunno why you bother the only brake you use on your car is the hand brake.
  9. I dunno what your plans are mate, but if your coming to the main land you can collect then from me as I wil he seeing simon Friday anyway...may be an option?
  10. 240s are one of those cars that if you have to ask or follow the beaten track it's probably not for you. Deep pockets and or lots of mechanical talent are required. It's a car that rusted well when they were new so time has not been kind. I do love them though and would love an s30 chassis with a v8. Sadly I don't have the time or finances to support two toy cars.
  11. Are you sure they are 350z brembos?
  12. Yet the new film comes in, December is it? Well done Disney.
  13. Happy birthday buddy.
  14. Looks really nice that some nice little extras. Is that 25k miles?
  15. Yeah pretty simple. You can probably do it with the rad in but you've gotta drain it all anyway so may aswel make life easy. You will need an Allen head bit 6mm I think, as the three bolts that hold it are Allen headed. You will also need some good strong needle nose pliers. Drain down the system. Remove the rad and fan clutch. Undo the three Allen bolts. Use the pliers to pull the spring clip together and push it back out the way. Pop off the temp sensors. Wiggle the top pipe off, it may require some pulling. Replace the pipes, clean up and reseal. Done. Bleed the system out as per the service manual. You could change the thermostat and top hats while your there for very little money and some added peace of mind.
  16. Corse not idle, duhhh. But very impressive. At what point would you recommend to go that bit further than a chip and use nistune? It's obviously more expensive.
  17. Is it in she asked. Yes, yes it's in there he replied.
  18. Like I say, covering thier ass. With the autoboxes extra girth, young Chinese tube bender, let call him Robert might mean the clash. If it was manual that extra 1" of space you would of never known Robert had a lazy Friday head on.
  19. 14psi at idle! I can't wait to get through this stage to get to the Noel make it faster stage.
  20. That's the problem it was when it wasn't supposed to be or the other way round depending on how you look at it. A VG30DE+(TT). It's very much a VG30DETT now though lol.
  21. They are covering their arse. As I say they can fit but the quality varies, so from batch to batch the pipes will line up better or worse. It's the nature of rolling tube unfortunately. Due to material properties and the way the tooling wears the settings used last month won't create the same effect this month. Tie in some Chinese style quality control and you have a degree of variability. Some fit and others catch on the box. With some persuading I'm sure they would fit but it's a chance you take. Equally the added issue of the necessary turbo elbow change to use the unsilenced type open new and of worms. Will those bolts on the rear of the turbo undo or have 20+ years of heat cycling seized them nicely? Will the reduction in back pressure show up the fact that the rear seal is failing causing smoke as oil dribbles into the exhaust...I noticed a real gain by removing the cats, not just in loosing a rusty pair of tubes but in responsiveness. I did however open a flood gate. TBF though those issues were not the fault of the decat and some not even related but it highlighted those issues to what I was previously blind too.
  22. Not the norm though is it...mine boosts about 2 psi if I give it stick at idle.
  23. Yeah you will get a vac reading nice healthy one. -10 doesn't sound too bad, I would expect that at idle maybe a touch more on over run.
