  1. The rear cables are defiantly different lengths. I found this out a few weeks back when I fitted the swb cables to a Lwb and they were about 2-3" too short. Weather it's different forward of that connection I could say but the rear portion is defiantly different.
  2. Cheers Bri. Tried to bleed the brakes this afternoon, I got one of those self bleeding kits. Utter crap, it doesn't seal well enough to retain the vacuum. Old fashioned method tomorrow night it is. This is essentially the only thing now that stands between me and an mot.
  3. I'm a trying lol. The whole job thing is slowing me down, got to pay those bills though. I'm scoffing some toast as I write this ready to set off on the three hour journey to Cardiff for today's work, myther after it then home. Hopefully il be home at a reasonable time. Finish up then Thursday/Friday il have a way to mot it. Fingers crossed.
  4. Brakes are on. Upper arms and tension rods on. PS blead. Just got to bleed the brakes and check the timing the rest is non mot faf. Then get it MOT'd.
  5. Make sure you come say hello bud.
  6. Fingers crossed for my car Pete. Stock power but ready to hit the track. Il be there regardless, it's just the zed in question.
  7. Did mine about two weeks ago. Got it from driftworks.
  8. The manual has a slightly larger exhaust housing. More peak flow but a slower spool. Just match what you have as a pair I doubt it makes much odds in real life driving situations.
  9. The exhaust is now on. I've got left; Fit front brakes, including trim dust shield so they fit. Fit tension rods. Swap out upper front arms, seriously these things are a pain so I left the bolts to soak in WD. Bleed brakes, ps and coolant. Check and set ignition timing. Then there's general stuff like under trays etc. Mot alignment. Done. If I get that lot done by Saturday il be very surprised lol. Ive got a job to go to as well.
  10. Hi mate, sorry only just seen this. It was done by Thread and Pipe on the Elliot road industrial estate. Which do you need? I have the hicas solenoid to ps pump one sat here. It was made about 12-18 months ago but I've done a hicas delete so it's redundant. If you need one you can have it.
  11. That's a touch odd. I thought I had my head round that till you pointed out they contradict each other. It's a nice feature what ever, just like the stock safety boost system but more robust.
  12. Very nice. I take it it's reasonable money then...?
  13. Sorted. Had a chat with gaz and he said check the ptu, after some chatting between us it was obvious the most likely fault was an incomplete circuit from the ptu to the coil. Popped the ptu out and low and behold one of the pins was green, odd really as the rest were clean as a whistle. Anyway clean it up and tried again. Boom we are back on six! :hyper: Also got the horn working. Stupid Bosch relay that's been hacked to bits more than once causing the fault, so the wiring goes from the connector behind the indicator to the horn, works a beauty. Which is the important thing.
  14. Right, injector is supplied 13v and seems functional. So the fault appears to be spark related, the node light for the spark says no and I pulled the plug etc and tried it nothing. So I know the fault just need the cause.
  15. Right, I just realised after rereading some bits. The positive supply to the injector is constant the negative however is switched at the ecu, therefore you need to go injector positive to ground to take the 12v reading. Which after trying it, it does.
  16. It's cyl 1 mate, identified it yesterday. Yeah your right just at 8am on a Sunday, she's a little loud right this second lol. I pulled the plug too it was dry but I went and gave it some heat just incase it was fuel fouled which it wasn't.
  17. Right this misfire is annoying me now. I've done what I can this morning without turning the engine on, Sunday morning with no back boxes is a bit antisocial. The injector ohms good, tested them all during assembly anyway, the coil pack ohms good, so now it's just a case of weather they are getting power or rather which one isn't. I did try to take a voltage reading from the injector connector which is something I've not tried before, but couldn't get 12v AC or DC from any of them ignition on or off... Maybe it's time to get a noid light on it. I have swapped the coil pack from a known worker but as I say It did ohm good.
  18. Apparently there are about 10 people in the 350 club waiting desperately. Contact 370ad and I'm sure he will rectify the issue for you Scott.
  19. You don't hang around between projects do you haha.
  20. So you not keeping the Z32 then?
  21. Not quite. 66% of the eligible population voted in this general election. Xfactor doesn't get any where near that viewing figure let alone people that actually vote. Of that 34% of eligible voters who btw are just as entitled to choose not to vote as to vote, how many are engaged enough to make a proper decision? I chose to abstain this time for several reasons, including a wild conspiracy theory haha. However I think I probably put more thought into that choice than 50% of those 66% who just went and ticked what they always ticked... I stand by my choice. If, if I decide to vote next time that's also my choice in this free country, so il decide then what to do.
  22. Picked up the bits from Si today, or rather he dropped them off to me when I was in swindon. So that's a result. Got back and fitted the battery and fired her up. So we have life. It's running on five ATM but il sort that, hopefully it's something silly, the old engine was runnin on five aswel but I didn't keep track of which plug and coil pack was which. Front bumpers on. And the rear suspension is assembled. Just gotta fix the misfire, fit and bleed the brakes and oh work out what's going on with the damn horn which appears to have got disconnected.
  23. They should certainly be a far more official plan. Ie you can't promise it without showing how you will achieve it and you can't just go back on those promises without good cause as a last resort, not just because it's not convenient.
  24. I won't be voting. Not because I'm apathetic, I have listen and thought a lot. I just cannot bring myself to pick the least worst option. If there was a none of the above box that would be my choice. Force them to grow up behave and cone up with proper policy, oh and reform the way it all works. If I were to chose I would be voting conservative. Hoping for a coalition between them and the libs again or Ukip just to put the brakes on Dave and stir the pot when necessary.
  25. I have drilled and slotted fronts, which will be matched at the rears. Just got stock pads ATM. I'm sure il find a typically impractical stressful solution.
