  1. Lots of money and faff for no real gain.
  2. He probably called one of those guys that takes your car away for scrap...
  3. Your making the right choice, the Z’s autobox is rubbish. You’ll realise how much better your car is as soon as it’s manual.
  4. How has this affected the weight distribution of the chassis? Surely the Rover V8 is significantly heavier than the old Mazda 4 banger? Have you driven it in anger yet?
  5. Well done Scott, you did well out of that. Hope you and your family are well.
  6. I have seriously toyed with buying one and pocketing the change from the sale of my Z32.
  7. One of my favourite cars in the club.
  8. Ignoring the fact that I also mentioned the yellow jackets, being the translation of the French name of the movement you used. The police thing is why the jackets became a political symbol in the first place. But hey what do I know.
  9. The locals put them on the dash, it gives the plod no excuse to try it on. Also keeps the Yellow Jackets peaceful. I was over in December and found this out.
  10. Coming round fast this. Is the club still attending?
  11. Stephen posted a topic in Events - UK
Any plans for the club to attend this event this year?
  12. Hi Dave. The garage in question was in Derby, Miles always from home. The thread here was edited as to not jepodase the action I was pursuing against them. We finally settled on a figure as a settlement that covered the cost of a replacement second hand block. They described it as a good will guesture to resolve the matter. Cars all up and running now, just tucked away for winter.
  13. There’s still at least four of us kicking around Dorset.
  14. Tbh I live in southwest England, the south is a huge expanse.
  15. Denting the sump is easily done with these cars and with not being much clearance between it and the pick up tube it’s easy to cause starvation.
  16. That’s a lot of hassle and expense for a similar power output. You could build a fantastic VG for less of both or install a superior engine. If it was a bolt in affair I can see the appeal of NA producing similar power, but it’s not, by far and the VQ can’t handle proper boost without internal work, supercharged they seem ok but Turbos no. Either sell your Z32 and buy a Z33, they’re so cheap now and enjoy it as it is or upgrade your Z32.
  17. Feel your pain that drivers side oil feed is a bitch. The passenger one isn’t much better.
  18. What ruins the sound of these cars most is the map at the deceleration point, that’s why they just don’t crackle and pop like a car should.
  19. Also economics isn’t a science, it’s educated gambling. If it were as easy to predict as the weather we’d all be rich. Instead it’s full of complex human factors and fluctuations. This is why they generally are quite pessimistic even when thier positive because they have to hedge thier bets thier wrong.
  20. In simple terms the markets hate uncertainty, current process is nothing but uncertainty. There sat on thier hands at present. Once a fixed out come has been devised, no matter what it is there will almost certainly be growth.
  21. I wouldn’t worry about cutting back the welds Russ, it’s stronger as it is and it’s the bloody floor pan.
