  1. Dont say they want them thats the 1 i was looking at https://conceptzperformance.com/garrett-gt2560r-gt28r-ball-bearing-turbo-kit-600hp-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-466541-300kt_p_859.php
  2. Since rebuilding the turbo's is gonna be close to 1k i was looking at the turbo kits on CZP a few of them are 2k and since there brand new would hopefully last me a while and i was wondering if these could be installed, then ran at regular boost pressure or do you have to run them at the higher psi's cos then i would need injectors, mapping etc and all that entails
  3. well just been quoted 800-1000 pounds for my turbo's been rebuilt by a guy with a good rep so looking for recommendation of others just to check prices, i no midland turbo's but since they aint answered any emails stuff em, so any other recommendations :cursing:
  4. cheers andrew may take you up on that, my nephews taking it to his engineering works tommorow he's gonna have a go at it
  5. I need to put oil in my car thats why it dos'nt work :cursing:
  6. Well what a crappy day the egr nut on the manifold is solid dunno if its being put on with vulcan mind meld technolgy, and got to try and get the nut of the egr side also
  7. Had a good day borowed an impact gun got my flywheel of, so then the engine is now on my stand, and with a bit of effort both turbo's are now finaly of but then found the egr pipe to the passenger side is cracked all the way through so tommorow will be spent trying to get it of.
  8. having to heat the nuts on the turbo's for 10 mins to get them off, got the front 1s done on both sides, now the back 1s to do which ill leave till tommorow so i can recover. took the clutch off it had more meat on than i thought
  9. cheers alic it arrived today, so need to buy the bolts for it now, is there particular holes u use on the gearbox when mounting on the stand top/bottom or 10-2, 4-8 etc ... cheers
  10. nice car ... i love the phone its so retro :tt1:
  11. forgot to buy myself an engine stand so what capacity should i be looking at 450kg or a 680kg ? cheers :sleep1:
  12. no not the oil question !!! :taz:
  13. turbo's mainly, they smoking like a choo choo train and put a new clutch on aswell
  14. Its out  Removed it with gearbox attached as the bolts would'nt come of
  15. ah i dont have a drive just a garage
  16. nearly there today, 1 gearbox bolt holding the whole thing up :glare:
  17. and success the lower steering u joint is off ... shame the weather has gone to shit now
  18. i dont wanna try the extensions anymore im worried the bolt will start to round of, so was gonna get a snap on 1/2 socket and with extra space with the gearbox moved forward get right on top of it so can put more force on it that was the plan anyways
  19. my plan was to move the engine forward, this would give me better access to the driver side top nut on the gearbox, then get better access to the nut and take the gearbox off then pull the engine out , i cant take the engine and gearbox out together as i dont have clearance in garage .
  20. im guessing i need to undo the silver bolts and not the gold 1s for that i already looked at doing that, the gold 1s will come of, the silver 1s access is crap and were on solid when i had a little try
  21. so i can pull the engine out, the turbo manfold on the drivers side is gonna hit on the way out
  22. do you need remove the little plastic washer thing at the bottom then just pry it up from there ?
  23. removing lower steering U joint ive undone both the bolts soaked it in wd and it wont budge is there a magic way of removing it without smashing it with a hammer :hammer:
  24. as ur pre 94 ur system will probably be full of R12 which is a planet killing gas u have to replace the full system and get a nice friendlier gas or just live with what u've got as finding an aircon system from a breaker aint the easiest. if ur system just needs regassing the r12 oil molecules need to be removed from the system and then it can be regassed with r134 or whatever the equivilent is now its a specialised job.
