Lapland
Hi Richie, The plan is just the two of us plus another couple. No kids. We were going to stay for about 5 days...

Lapland
Okay.... so my Mrs wants to go to Lapland next month. Probably because of all the Christmas films she has been watching recently. I have always supported the motto of 'Happy wife = happy life' so I will be caving in. I've looked at costings briefly and I can afford it. Has anyone been? Any advice for me before I go trawling the tripadvisor forums? I'd rather hear it from like-minded zed heads than those kinds of people. If someone has gone - what company did you use? Dean

How long have you had your CURRENT Z for?
2 months on my latest Zed. What was I thinking buying another one! Although this time it will be long term as I have the garage to tuck her away

I wouldn't contest that to be honest with you. Even in the dark and rain - if your eyesight is that bad that you cannot notice that on the road (faded but still clearly visible) you shouldn't be driving.

Any TT to NA owners?
Ive got an NA now after having previous turbo versions. I don't mind it at all and they sound far superior to a TT! Like other people have said at lower speeds it is better than the TT but it still pulls well! To suggest they are underpowered is ridiculous. However mine is a fine day only car so I will probably be swapping out for a TT engine at some stage.

Alloys wheels maybe OEM or other
As above looking for a set of 4 cheaper the better really as only going to be temporary. The wheels I have now have badly botched valves so I cant put any air in two tyres and they are low.

your favorite machine ever made in human history
I own a LP but for me the Strat is far superior in looks. My all round favourite to play though is the Telecaster

Best wheel offset etc for standard car
Would prefer the flat look to be honest but don't mind a bit of stretch.

Tablet installation
I have that same tablet. If I was going to do an install like that though it would have to have a SIM in it for 4G.

Insurance company ratings - my experience
The same can be said for any profit making company or business. Its the customer experience that makes it worth the extra £££ in my eyes.

Insurance company ratings - my experience
I don't remember ever being offered that option to be honest.

Insurance company ratings - my experience
I think it is also worth mentioning that Footman James / ERS allowed me to buy my car back from them for 10% of the settlement amount (before excess deductions).

Fitting a strut bar
Yes but isn't the Carbring a 1 piece job? It looked like the one he was trying to fit was the ebay variety which are purely for looks
-
I must be mad
I'd never decline a rip in a fast porker......even if it is the hairdresser's variety ! haha

Fitting a strut bar
I'd say that most people who install strut braces are doing it for engine bay looks because lets face they do nothing. Therefore most of them would have deleted the cruise actuator at the same time.
