Cheers, I have just gone through all the rules and regs again and it was good to go through that again, something we should all do from time to time. I have one question/suggestion. Why are the moderators chosen by the commitee and not elected, if everything else in the club is elected? Not that I have any problems with any of the moderators.

Even though I have been a member on here for a while, and have seen posts put up for 'somewhere events organiser - position required' type emails, I don't recall seeing an email advertising looking for moderators. How are they chosen? Can anyone apply at anytime? are they elected like other positions? What are the requirements? If I wanted to be a moderator, who would I have to kidnap/sleep with/kill. What is AUP? I keep seeing that mentioned. Who decides club policy? do we vote for that? Does any one person have overall control? What's the meaning of life? Why sometimes on a Wednesday, I keep thinking it's Thursday? Why when I walk up stairs in the dark do I forget how many steps I have and almost fall over?

Thats not what I meant if thats how it read. I meant I was having fun with an ST this morning and we came up behind a 911. It put it's foot down for a little bit, but with the st hot on its tail it moved aside and didn't want to play anymore. ps. nice tone in your post, keep it up.

What do you recomend?

A guy I work with has bought a Focus ST and we live round the corner from each other. This morning on the way to work and the fun began. I just want to say - not only is the focus ST a nippy car, but he completely out handled me. I would easily reel him in on the straights, but get to the twisty stuff and he was gone! We even caught a Porsche 911 who tried to get involved but gave up. Net result? He beat me to work by a good 30 seconds. At the end of the day, there is still not much on the road that can cause us problems in a straight line, but we still have 15yr old handling. Now where was that anti roll bar group buy? :rofl: Disclaimer [ obviously this was all conducted on a private track that just happens to run from my house to work! and I don't advocate 'spirited driving' on public roads] :nono: :p

How come sometime when I look at new posts I see three pages of interesting stuff to go through, then 5 minutes later there are only 4 or 5 things in there. Then, just to confuse me more, if I go back 30 minutes later there are 3 pages of new things again? :headvswal How are new posts calculated?

BEFORE YOU CHANGE ANYTHING ON YOUR PC - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A CURRENT BACKUP AND SYSTEM STATE RECOVERY DISK. The following is an unofficial tip and I take no repsonsabilty for peoples dead pc's. These are things I did years ago from my time as a server engineer. Steves tips for fast booting PC IN THE BIOS (first bit with black screen) change the boot order to check for the Hard disk first, most pc's check the floppy or cd rom first tha can add up to 5 seconds to boot times. IN WINDOWS Delete all the fonts you know you will never use. Windows has to load all of these into memory as the os is booting up, you will find the biggest gains here with pc's with little or slow memory. This can make booting 4x faster on slow machines. AGAIN - Only do this if have a current backup. I remember this took me a couple of attempts to get right, and windows will blue screen if it tries to use a font for system purposes and it isn't there.

I just bought new 2 new rear Pirelli P6000 tyres for my zed, had all wheels balanced and had my tracking done. cost was £230 which I felt was really good. But now my car wanders to the left. The Mechanic said that was due to negative camber. Does that sound right? can I get rid of it with a kit?
