The advantage of getting them built by a turbo company is they run them up to full speed and they should come back with a shaft ballance sheet and also detailing rpm and leak free info

this is going to be a good thread as everything ive read so far is spot on...I hate when you try to make polite conversation with a stranger and they treat you like your about to rob/rape or eat them..like its so strange that you have behaved normal and polite:ohmy:

are you working in the sunlight?? fit it out the sun so it stays cool and the same size. Sounds silly but ive had the same problem on boats with the hull rubbing strip around the boat that grew 25mm after it was taken off,kept it out the sun and cool and it went back to normal size:blink:

What makes my piss nucular waste is when at a garage and you hold a door open for someone coming across the forecort only for them to just walk in and right past you without a word of thanks:mad:....good old znut soon puts things right though with a seminar in manners and they soon get the message:wink:

Surgery looming??
Mate ive just had the same sort of Shit from the NHS since jan this year,getting passed from pillar to post and no real progress:cursing:...In the end i gave them the middle finger and got my wallet out and called Murryfields (bupa)...had an apointment with a top consultant within 3 days and sorted within 10 days all fixed and better,2K poorer though but worth every last cent. I know what your going through is worlds apart from my complaint but iff you have floating cash stop counting it and get sorted mate and fvk the mess of the NHS as its drowning with none nationals recieving treatment that we should be getting. Goodluck;)

Ahhh i thought you mentioned another garage tested recently.... Remember Dicky mate whats good one day can easliy change another day and be no fault of anyone with these motors iff not inspected by a teardown after buying an unknown quantity like a 2nd hand engine

I hear you Mark...but checked by who as i find it a little strange that all six came back 180:confused: that seems high,ish for a old motor... disclaimer...not saying Noel sold a worn engine but 180 is close to the "new motor specs"

When and iff you take off the pass side tub, 1st check the exhaust port on number 6 for oil before you start spending on changing turbos and i bet its drenched..as ive said my moneys on bore/piston/ring damage and theres no oil control on number 6.

this is true as my cam came with the same problem...i use the drift pin in the CAS shaft now as a reference when sliding onto the spline

well it must be either faulty resistor...not solderd right and are you sure your on pin 23 plus have you disconected the plug from the dett sensor also
