If you expect a fast car then an NA will dissapoint, no disrespect to them they are great cars but the straight line performance is distinctly average. Depends on what you want I guess, if you consider an NA because you want a car which is economical to run then don't test drive a TT because you will probably impulse buy something :p

700bhp out of a NA 383? I'd like to see that! As for a 'pure racing hotrod', how would a race car go with flat tyres? With an engine that doesn't start? Why would it need dynamat and carpets? Where is the uprated suspension, brakes? Its clearly not a show car either, its filthy, mismatching wheels, limp dick exhausts, vileside skirts, awful lights, missing perspex panel, need i say more? I have no idea what the builder of this car was thinking.

it would look like a 15 year old shed that somebody has replaced the spoiler on but couldn't be bothered to spray the right colour. Thats just my opinion anyway.

375cc if i remember correctly. I think they do fit the CA18 and SR20 but I might be wrong.

Conzult wouldn't be much help tbh. Power balance test will show misfiring cylinders up, but wont pinpoint the problem, a misfire could be caused by anything along the ignition chain from the ecu to the plug. Also PTU's operation is quite sporadic when it is failing, the cylinders missing could change around. Best way would be to swap it out for a known good one to see what happens.

Finally got round to buying the 27mm i needed, anyway upon turning the engine over, I found that for a start, the lines on the belt don't line up properly on all 4 sprockets, if I line up the leftmost one, the rightmost one is about 5mm out. Anyway, I carried on turning it round till the mark on the crank pulley was at 0 on the plate. At this point, all the cam sprockets lined up right, with the dimples on the intake and cutouts on the exhaust. I assume this is correct and at TDC on cyl 1? My concern is that the lines on the belt are not even close to the same position, they lined up about half a turn on the crank before. Should the marks on the belt match the marks on the sprockets? I assume they should. Also the arrows on the belt are pointing backwards not forwards, it is put on backwards? I assume this engine has had the belt changed before, but by a monkey who didn't give a shit how it went on.

looking really good mate. Whats the spec on that, looks like bigger ports, bigger valves? Should be pretty awesome combined with cams so wild they can't be run with solid lifters :eek: Im guessing it will have a hiked up rpm limit? All the best with it, and I hope you're satisfied with it this time lol. I'll keep my eyes peeled in the dyno section for the first 4 figure result :p

yep VLC is top notch will play about anything right out the box, and imo better than the directshow codec's can do it too.
